Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing to remark poorly about
The host was very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the home was extremely clean. We are walking the Via Francigena and the location is just off the trail. The host recommended an Italian restaurant for dinner and the food and service was very, very good. The host made us breakfast in the morning and it was a typical Italian breakfast with fresh bread, meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, fresh fruits and delicious hot coffee with milk. The room had an adorable balcony with flowers. The bathroom had a spacious shower! The place to do laundry was only steps away from this home.

Wifi password is way too long and complicated, wasn’t written clearly, so my friend and I tried several times, gave up, and ask the host then. It was a little chilly in the room (we stayed on Sept 20). The breakfast doesn’t fit those who are stick to keto diet. If you need to work, please be aware - there is no deck to place you laptop on and spend a couple of hours working.
I had a nice stay at La Casa di Enrico in San Quirico d'Orcia. The location is good, nestled in the heart of Tuscany with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The room was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a true Italian charm. The peaceful atmosphere made it a great place to relax, and the property’s proximity to key attractions made exploring the area so convenient. I highly recommend staying here!

Nothing!
We stayed here during a self guided cycle tour. We were welcomed and our bikes were safely accommodated. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view and a large bathroom. The breakfast was fresh and had a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and cakes. We felt very well looked after and loved this wonderful town.

As with several of our stays, the host is not on site so one has to phone for his to come. Not the easiest of arrivals when our Italian is limited!
We had a great room with its own sitting area. A lovely newly fitted bathroom and a very acceptable breakfast. This is a relatively modern building a short walk from the centre of San Quirico that has some very good and reasonable resturats.

I enjoyed everything!
Breakfast was excellent, really delicious, home made by Flavio, who is very nice and easygoing. He gave me good advises for my tours. The place is really close to the historic center. San Quirico is amaizing, more than expected!! Wonderful!!! There is a parking at the property so it is excellent if you travel by car. I could leave the car for a coupe of hours after check out. Thanks a lot Flavio!! Your place made me feel like at home.

I really liked it, would appreciate if host would use real plates instead of paper plates.
Very nice host, beautiful room with own bathroom and balcony, very clean. Great breakfast! Very quiet room and good location.

We were only missing air condition in the bedroom. The apartment turned really hot during summer.
Accommodation is just few meters far from historical centre. Bathroom is very nice and modern.

It wasn’t a hotel as such but more like a spare room in a private house. Absolutely fine though just not what we expected.
Clean , comfortable and very close to medieval centre. Spacious bedroom and great shower.
