Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainWe were booked over to San Michele at the last minute, but could use the pool at La Suite. It ended up being a great change. They're both very nice properties but the location of San Michele is unbeatable.

ItalyIt didn't feel like a 4 star and to us was a bit overpriced. The breakfast can be improved. Not much choice at all and could be better. The lunch menu was pretty basic and the quality was a bit on the lower side compared to places outside the hotel. They have a restaurant that does only dinner but I would suggest them to offer basic pasta or pizza dishes for lunch.. The pool opens from 10:30, which seems to be a common thing on the island. Just to bear it in mind if you have young kids or you are an early bird.
The staff was really nice. Especially the one at the pool. And drinks were quite good. The location to us was great. You can walk to places for dinner however if you don't fancy walking for 20 minutes then it's not the place for you. They provide a shuttle for 5 euro per person. It was nice to have a calm environment around the pool too.

United Statesthe location is a bit further from everything you need to either book the shuttle or walk everywhere. Also the internet is really slow if you are planning on working it’s a bit hard but this problem is everywhere on the island so not just in the hotel
amazing pool, staff and rooms everything was great. we loved staying there

United StatesOur room felt stuffy and musty even with the AC going. Some lights in our room weren't working. We never reported these issues since we were there for only 2 nights (really 1.5 days). There were multiple ripples in the decking around the pool and I ended up tripping. The hotel immediately put up signs and made everyone aware of the tripping hazard. I was fine, no injuries except my bruised ego.
The facility was quite lovely with a beautiful pool area with a bar. We ordered lunch at the pool one day, and drinks the next evening by the pool. Lots of seating and lounging available. Both of our rooms were garden view and had chairs in the "garden" area which felt private. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, so many selections to choose from. You can request your espresso for the morning and don't have to stick to the Americano type coffee. The hotel offers "transfers" with their van but be aware it is not part of the price, so you will see charges for each transfer provided when you check out. Having said that, it still costs less than if you hired a taxi to take you around the island.

United KingdomThe lighting in the room was a bit dark. Lack of milk at breakfast. Perhaps the patio needs a bit of a clean up but nothing too bad.
The shuttle bus was an excellent addition, so affordable and great when dark or you had luggage, otherwise everywhere was in walking distance. The staff were really friendly and one lady even reserved a restaurant for us. Complementary spa products in the rooms were really lovely and the pool area very tranquil with fragrant fruit trees and jasmine, the most comfortable sun loungers ever!

Czech RepublicEverything was very good, that was also the reason, why we have choosen this hotel twice for our stay. But maybe, the receptionist when we arrieved, should used to smile and be more interested in fact, that we chooed the hotel again. It is good to feel, that you are welcome. On the other way, the same receptionst, before our arrival was helpful, when I asked some questions.
The breakfast was good and fresh with a local procucts. The pool area is amazing, fantastic place for relax with exceletnt limoncelo sprits. The stuff by the pool were so kind. We liked small snacks with drinks. That is very nice compliment.

United KingdomOur breakfast was a little lacking... as we are vegan there was not really anything for us to have other than fruit and nuts. No vegan replacements were made to cheese or meats for example, or any of the croissants or cakes or yogurts. So I did leave with the feeling that the included breakfast that was paid for, wasn't really worth the money for us. However, we were given soya milk for coffee. Make sure you book a shuttle for arrival from the port as the walk is mainly up hill and in the heat of the midday sun, not enjoyable, especially with suitcases! I wasn't aware of the shuttle bus until we arrived. The restaurant didn't appear to be open for dinner during our stay. In regard to vegan lunch, again, no replacements were made so we just had the toastie without cheese... on one of the days, cheese was given and we had eaten some of it before we realised, so luckily we're not dairy intolerant! The pool doesn't open until 10am which is a bit late as I do like to have an early morning swim!
The location, the peace and quiet, the pool area, the availability of sunbeds, the poolside staff were all amazing. Having the shuttle bus around the island was also helpful and reasonably priced at EU4 per person, per journey. The spa was also lovely and we enjoyed a back & shoulder massage. The breakfast looked nice with plenty of options if you are not vegan! The reception staff were very helpful and gave lots of information and were available at all times. We were given a lovely lemon welcome drink on arrival. One night we asked about having a bottle of wine and we were brought a choice of 4 to our area outside the room, which was lovely. The room was cleaned to a high standard each day and was well equipped with USB charging points, plenty of towels and storage. The bed was comfy. The minibar wasn't overpriced, so it was nice to be able to have a drink from there. Cocktails at the main bar were fantastic and there are plenty to choose from. The salads were lovely, with fresh lemons and olives. There was always availability of sunbeds and it never felt busy around the pool area. It was clean and tidy. Again, the staff were helpful, friendly and generally lovely. There is also a lovely takeaway pizza place 10 mins walk away!

United StatesThe owner of the property obviously doesn’t care much about the maintenance or upkeep any longer I can see how the facility used to be a fabulous place but it appears that over the years it may not have been the money maker he wished for and therefore he turned his attention to other ventures It is very unfortunate. The facility must have been amazing when he actually cared about it. Now it seems like am afterthought and sadly forgotten
The Island is spectacular

United KingdomThe property itself could do with some money invested into it. Areas need to be repainted or repaired. The staff need to be encouraged to take more pride. Thats not a reflection on the staff themselves as all were friendly but more on the training side of things. Doors left open at pool bar showing inner workings that no-one needed to see; empty glasses and plates littered around the pool area for guests to clear; no one explained where breakfast was served nor where the gym or spa was located so I never used the facilities; the quick path to the beach, which was pointed out & very helpful, was littered with rubbish bags. Just felt like more pride could and should be taken with what has the potential to be a gem of a hotel.
Sadly the hotel felt a tired and needs some love on all fronts.

SwitzerlandThe property looks relatively new, but it already clearly misses maintenance. The furniture and finishings in general are cheap and of low quality. In particular, the handles on the windows in our room would all have to be replaced. We booked a "suite with terrace", in reality it is a slightly larger room than usual (with a terrace) and with only one very small open-cabinet for clothes (3 hangers each). The curtains on the terrace were dirty and torn. Breakfast is mediocre and is served under an ugly wood/plexiglass roof (in the pictures); too bad, there is such a beautiful garden! We certainly overpaid for our stay.
The garden and the pool area are really nice. Staff are very kind.

AustraliaThe breakfast was awful- tap water put into glass bottles, canned OJ and other canned juices put into old water bottles, bruised and old fruit in buffet selection, no toaster, just bizzare and tiny sandwich press to make toast, mismatched plates, weeds growing all around property, room stank of cigarette smoke, receptionist took a long and loud phone call as I was waiting to speak to her (in person), and stood waiting for 10 minutes, pool bizarrely only opened at 10.30am and closed at 7pm, even though there was nothing else to do at the property and it didn’t get dark until 9.30pm. Strange place.
The lounges at the pool were comfortable, the planting around the pool area was nice

I found the hotel very relaxing and casual, like spending time in your private house. The hotel staff is always willing to help out … sometime you need to ask but they are always so kind to do at their best what you ask for. We enjoyed lunch on the swimming pool and some relaxing time at SpA. Amazing lemonade and fruit cocktails. We also enjoyed the garden a lot.
