How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The owners were so kind. They went above and beyond to help with my travels and stay. I was even met at the Rome train station and shuttled to the hotel. Breakfast was amazing.

The hosts went above and beyond to help us! They were super welcome and accommodating of various needs, for example they had lactose free milk and products for breakfast without pre ordering them. They helped us even after our stay and easy to contact.

Property is in a great location for the airport and close to be able to walk to restaurants! Hosts are wonderful and helped us get to the airport for our early morning flight!

We had a great stay at La Darsena! It's the perfect B&B for comings and goings from FCO airport. Short ride to the airport, and they even offer an airport transfer to make life easier. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and breakfast is included. We will definitely be using this more as a stopover on our way in and out of Rome.

Amazing hosts! The nicest people you will ever meet, allowed us to store luggage on early arrival, offered to help with a ride into Rome for a day trip. The Bed and Breakfast was exactly what we needed: very clean room, comfy bedding, and A/C. My review is similar to other reviews who highlighted the warmth and kindness of the hosts. We needed to be in Rome the day prior to a long international flight leaving early in the morning from FCO.

Incredible hostess!! She made us very comfortable, woke up early to prepare breakfast and make espressos for us. Bathroom had toothbrush’s and toothpaste, as well as soap and shower gel. Great air conditioning. Quick bus from the airport and like a 10-15 minute walk to the beach.

It was all as expected
Great location to get to the airport. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, breakfast is provided. Easy walk to harbour and places to exercise. Onsite airport transfer for a small charge. Very friendly couple.

Great location close to the airport. Bed was comfortable. Room was large. Everything that you needed - breakfast was basic but adequate staff are really friendly and organised for our Taxi return to the airport. Recommend if you want something close to the airport.

The owners were fabulous. Stefania & Francesco were helpful, pleasant & more than accommodating. The room was exceptionally clean; bed was comfy; breakfast delicious & location was perfect. Many very nice restaurants with fresh from the catch of the day seafood choices. We will definitely be staying with Stefania & Francesco every time we’re in Italy. Really good location to get to the airport for early flights. Lovely welcome from the hosts. support to get a transfer to the airport for an early flight. Comfortable and quiet environment. Great instructions to find the house and good communication prior to arrival

Nothing! It was inexpensive, met our needs, we were totally satisfied.
A jewel, in our opinion. We are in our 80’s, needed an overnight stay close to FCO, saw this listing and thought it would suit us nicely. We were flying in from Canada, arrived at FCO at 9:15, had our bags and cleared Customs by 10am. I had asked for early check-in, if possible, earlier than posted 3pm check-in, was told they could not guarantee it. By 11:30 am, we were fed up with sitting in busy Arrivals, so We hired a taxi, assumed there would be a patio we could sit in while waiting for our room. Upon arrival, our hosts did confirm our room was not ready, we asked if we just sit and wait in their cosy little shady, quiet patio. Of course was the answer. We made ourselves comfortable, and we were immediately offered water and coffee. And by about 12:40, we were told our room was ready, they helped us with our luggage, we were probably sound asleep by 13:30! The room was small but super clean, and comfortable- it offered everything we needed for a brief overnight stay. It is in a residential neighbourhood, quiet, no aircraft noise, restaurants close by, good wifi. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful, asked what time we would like to have breakfast, which was quite simple but met our needs. And they called a taxi for us, helped with luggage. We truly appreciated the accommodation and the host’s helpfulness!

I had a great stay. The room was comfortable and the staff went above and beyond. I arrived close to 9pm and they were waiting for me. I told them I was vegan and that fruit and some cereal would be a fine breakfast, but they went out and found me a vegan croissant and made me a cappuccino with soy milk. They also provided transfer to the airport for 25 euros. I found this to be a very sweet and comfortable place for my last night in Italy.
