How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was excellent for proximity to the train station, bus station and mini metro. Some building work on the subway from the train station made it a longer walk round for us, and we didn't know about it in advance, so were somewhat confused when finding the property for the first time. Normally it would be a very quick walk to the train platforms. Our hostess was always available to answer questions. There was a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. The bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well. We had most things that we needed. The kitchen was adequate. We liked the city very much, and the minimetro system is fun, with a very frequent service, so no waiting around, and a brilliant asset.
We assume that properties in Perugia are expensive, as this apartment was the most expensive we stayed in, but had a slight budget feel about it. We were uncertain about how safe we would be at night, because there were single men standing watching us, with time on their hands. At no time were we threatened, and we relaxed a little over the time we stayed there. Our main dislike was the absence of comfortable chairs to relax in, after a tiring day of walking around the city. There was a choice of firm kitchen chairs to sit on, or the bed. So, a good place to leave luggage and sleep, but not to spend any length of time in. Italian soundproofing in general is not great, and we could listen to the neighbours' conversations rather too easily!

Verified reviewVery clean, spacious with air conditioners in bedrooms. Secured building with a responsive host. Right next to the Perugia train station; when exiting the station on (via Sicilia) the very first building on your right is this apartment. Also, few pizza places within a minute walk, 2 minutes walk to a big grocery store. 5 minutes walk to the metro station taking you to the old city. Just make sure you ask the host about the code to the door.
thank you🤗

Verified reviewConvenient, really close to the main train station. Apartment with lots of space and accessories already included, such as hair dryer with diffuser, hair straighteners, coffee machine and milk frother, microwave and induction hob. The owner was very communicative and helped us in few occasions. Suggested for a family and a short break in Perugia!
Thank you Matteo

Verified reviewThis apartment is a 3-minute walk from the train station. Our host was super accommodating with a very early check-in. The apartment is well-equipped and clean. The complex is a “concept” building from the 80s - more or less successful but certainly interesting.

thank you so much Gregory!

Verified reviewThe location is right next to the station with windows facing the inner yard (quiet and peaceful). Well-equipped kitchen, host has left some snacks and yoghurt/milk in the fridge.
I wish there were better instructions on how to get to the apartment from the train station. We went over, with a dangerous road crossing and lack of accessible pavements, instead of going directly under :) I would also love the bed sheets to be of better quality (they were synthetic, as opposed to cotton/linen/natural ones) It would be nice for the host to provide instructions on "how to find a shop" and "mini metro" for the guests who are unprepared for a new city (like us).
Hello, thank you for the review you left. As for the stretch of road from the station to the apartment, I don't know what route you took, but I assure you that the road has both a sidewalk and an underpass. As is my habit, the first thing I do on the day of arrival is to send the guest a precise location and photos of the building so they can orient themselves. For all other information I am always available and I reply to everyone's messages at any time and I would have been happy to give you all the information you needed if you had asked me.

Verified reviewThe host was very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags in the accom before check-in time. Perfect location close to train station. Some food & drinks were there on arrival which was very nice. The terrace was lovely. The accom was very clean and we had all necessities included.
The beds were quite squeaky and the airconditioning didn't cool the room.
Grazie mille Loredana.

Verified reviewThe host very friendly and available. Modern house with all amenities, very clean. With idposable capsule coffee, m aquina of coffee and capucino, biscuits and flakes so you can have breakfast. Apart from the cleanliness, the house was very cosy and full of details that made us feel welcome! Excellent location - close to the train and close to the minimetro which takes you to the historic centre in no time. I really liked the house and the city.
I liked all
