Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe location is magical, the view really breathtaking and Colomba is the best host one can wish for. She prepared a nice breakfast for us every morning, helped us with suggestions for restaurants and activities and is such a nice person to chat to and get to know more about Positano and the people who live there. We loved her beautiful garden and the relaxed atmosphere on our balcony. Yes, there are many steps in Positano and at this stay as well. For us it was perfect as it kept us active while we enjoyed so much good food all around town. We were sad to leave and can't wait to be back.

United KingdomThere were quite a few ants in our room but they seemed to clear by the final day. The B&B is also at the very top of Positano so it’s a big hike back at the end of the day- the view makes it worth it though.
Colomba was the most wonderful host - we really appreciated all of her help + a lovely breakfast each morning. The view from the B&B is so stunning and we were spoilt having one from our balcony too.

RomaniaThe bathroom could use a rework. Also make sure you understand the steps you need to take daily, for us it was fine, but it may not be for the elderly.
The view is like no other in Positano, that's for sure. Even though the price is paid in steps (185 to be precise, from the street to the property). The apartment was large enough, large balcony as well, however the bathroom could use a rework to match the potential (and the price) of the location.

United StatesBest panoramic views of the entire city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, cleaned daily. Colomba was an excellent host, offering to make us dinner when it was raining outside and even doing our laundry. We felt very well taken care of especially given how fair the price was. I’m so happy someone canceled last minute and I was able to snatch up this reservation.

United StatesYou have to hike an unbelievable amount of stairs to get to the room. But I am noticing that is a theme with a lot of hotels in Positano, so perhaps it is unavoidable. I just wouldn’t recommend it for older travelers. Great glute workout though! The property is a little older… so are the plumbing fixtures. But we got an unbelievable deal so I am not complaining as overall I feel the value was good.
Big rooms! Very spacious after the other tiny hotel rooms we had been experiencing at other European hotels.

Colomba welcomed us into her home like we were old friends, her kindness, knowledge and amazing breakfasts really made this stay perfect. The facilities were spotless, our room was cleaned and we had fresh towels every day. There were steps up to the property but it was worth it for the accommodation at the top.

AustraliaThe property is up on the hill so it takes a while to walk up from the main beach of Positano, (around 40 mins for me because it was hot outside and so many steps) there is a bus but I didn’t attempt it. There are quite a few steps leading up to the property so I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility issues, however there is a pulley for your luggage so you don’t have to carry luggage up all the steps
I absolutely LOVED the view, it was magical! Sitting on the terrace or my balcony was my highlight of staying here! Columba was lovely, she made breakfast every morning and was very accommodating, I felt right at home.

Colomba was a fabulous host and most welcoming. She went above her responsibility to look after us. The property was secluded with a beautiful view from our private terrace. The stairs will keep you in shape and help you work off all the delicious food you will enjoy in Positano.

United StatesThe views from the terrace were amazing and Colomba is a wonderful host. Getting to the main beach and central shopping part of town was simple using the public buses. Its also possible to walk the route if the terrain is manageable for you. We walked it one time and in turn got to explore more restaurants and shopping along the way.

South AfricaWe looked at so many options online before choosing Le Nereidi. We wanted to be part of Positano but not in the very touristy part near the port and main shops. Le Nereidi is above and has its own vibe. Busses run in between the different areas and it’s an experience taking them around the windy roads… There are wonderful restaurants within between 5-15 mins walking distance of Le Nereidi and the best one above - Ristorante Da Costantino, sends a free shuttle to collect and drop you home. Delicious food! Columba is the loveliest hostess and offered us a free upgrade of room which totally made our stay. She is always available on her phone to help with reservations. (Not so good at emails) Book the room suite downstairs with kitchen and sitting area. We loved the views of the bay stretched out before us on our private verandah. We cooked a few meals - a little supermarket nearby does the basics. Also well situated to do the Walk of the Gods hike which was a highlight of our trip. (Start from Praiano and walk back to Positano) Just know that there are a LOT of stairs. Positano is full of stairs of course, but even more here. There is a little pulley cable car for luggage but you’re still walking up 170 stairs from the street entrance to your room. We definitely left fitter than when we arrived. Which was a good thing!

United StatesHigh above the main town, it was a bit of a hike to the waterfront. Most days were planned away all day due to the hike.
Beautiful view. Outstanding breakfast. Very helpful host. She was able to secure dinner reservations at the last moment. Our first dinner she arranged, picked us up from the steps leading up to our accommodations. Wonderful private patio to watch the sunset. The common breakfast patio had a sprawling morning view. There was a small baggage lift for the better portion of the hike up the stairs from the street to the front door of the B&B.

United KingdomNothing, everything was perfect honestly, the hostess was amazing and kind and the only thing I guess if I had to say something is the steps, maybe a chairlift for those who cant walk but then again why be in positano its step city!
Beautiful scenic location, out of the main centre of positano but also close enough to enjoy the localities. The walking in this whole part of Salerno is a lot so be prepared for steps, there is the positano internal bus which is really helpful but yeah work those thighs!

United KingdomWe weren’t too bothered as we like walking but there are A LOT of steps. About 190 from the main road and about 1000 from the beach (although you can get a bus we just never did!)
What can we say, best views in the whole of Positano! Columba - the best host we have ever had. Couldn’t do any more for you, great tips - just like having your own Italian Nanna every day!! What a great lady. Our favourite stay on the amalfi
