Really modern and clean very beautiful couldn’t use the pool as the weather was raining which was a shame when you are paying a premium . The garages was useful for the car as parking is a nightmare …just a few tweaks and it would have been perfect

Breakfast was odd …I think it’s over thought to be honest plus with so many tourist high protein breakfast should be more norm it was very sweet

Absolutely wonderful accommodation, spotlessly clean, lovely decor, great location, very friendly staff. There was shade around the pool. The air con was the best we had experienced in all of our stays in Italy, it was very quiet and effective. Breakfast is great and you can buy lunch, snacks and drinks until 7pm.

A coffee machine in the room would have been a nice addition.

Fantastic location, easy walk to the Lake, restaurants, tourist sites. Beautiful property, tastefully decorated. Every details is carefully considered. Very comfy beds and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful stay. Staff were lovely and accomodating. It was an easy, relaxing end to our trip away.

Lovely location and very helpful staff. The room with the small outside area overlooking the pool is the stand out room. We had our own private breakfast there every morning. And breakfast was included! Elisabetta was lovely and very helpful. Parking was also a real bonus. Best hire a small car like a Fiat 500. A short walk into town and the area was quiet as well.

The staff were excellent- Elizabetta was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. She allowed us to leave our luggage and even sit in the air conditioned lounge whilst we waited for our train then booked us a taxi. The rooms were amazing and had everything we needed (slippers, fridge, tea/coffee, robes, water, pool towels, air con you controlled yourself). We’d booked a junior suite which was huge and had a lovely balcony. There are only 7 suites so it was always quiet even when it was full. Location was 7 minutes walk down steps to the centre of beautiful Como- even in 35 degree heat we didn’t find this difficult but if you had mobility issues you would. Como is often thought of as a stop off town to the lake but it’s so beautiful and we loved it as a destination in itself. The pool was lovely with sun loungers and umbrellas(we had it to ourselves for two days)! The whole Villa is wonderfully decorated and the outside space has lots of different spaces to sit and enjoy the peace it’s hard not to relax here! Breakfast was delicious, you make your choice the day before and choose a time. Everything is homemade and served on the terrace. Extra touches like limoncello waiting for you in the evening, sun lotion, books and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere made this place truly special. If I were staying in Como I’d definitely choose Le Stanza.

The location was perfect we walked to the centre of town each evening for dinner and drinks by the lake. There are a lot of steps so probably not for anyone with mobility issue. Staff were fantastic very welcoming and helpful. The building and rooms were exceptional. The breakfast was fantastic in the courtyard. There were lots of extra touches for example they left a tray with limoncello and glasses left out for guests to drink in the evening. The staff went out of their way to help us organise tours and trips. Would 100% recommend.

We travelled as a family of four and so had two rooms at Le Stanze del Lago; both rooms were spacious, quiet, clean and very comfortable. Andrea, Elisabetta and their team are all extremely hospitable, helpful and keen to make your stay a happy one. The setting is beautiful with a lovely breakfast terrace and pool. Breakfast is excellent and it was great to have freshly prepared scrambled eggs and lovely smiley breakfast team. We had a fabulous stay at the villa and a wonderful day in Tremezzo and Lenno, Villa Balbaniello is absolutely stunning. Please be prepared to stand in a long queue for ferry tickets - they can only be purchased on the day. I waited from 7.45 until 9.15 in order to get tickets for later that day. The views on the day were well worth the wait but the system for buying ferry tickets definitely needs improving. The hotel is only a 25 minute walk from the San Giovanni train station, there are some steps leading down from the station and steps leading up to the villa but the bit in between is all flat and really quiet easy if you’re travelling light. We took a taxi to the villa (just 12 €) but did the journey back on foot.

Lovely boutique hotel. Beautiful setting with outside sitting area and pool. Bathrobes, slippers provided and even a choice of nightcaps provided all included.

Nothing, the only downside is that it has a steep hill/stairs to get to it but worth it.

I loved everything. The location was great 10 min walk to city centre. With great shops and restaurants and a fabulous market. The staff were the highlight. Very friendly. Couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was amazing so much food and lovely homemade pastries and tarts that had to be eaten 💕 the rooms were big and so clean. Beautiful gardens and to top it off a lovely pool area to relax in. We will most definitely be back. Loved Como.

Not a lot could be better.

This was perfect place to stay for a trip to Como. The accommodation is beautiful clean and staff super friendly, helpful and professional. Because it is out of the hustle and bustle of the town it is peaceful with beautiful pool but still easy to walk down to the centre in 10 mins. I have to mention the breakfast which was divine! Highly recommend I would be back in a heartbeat!
