There are two things that stand out when I think about this stay. Firstly the genuine warm welcome and hospitality from the owner Silvio. Secondly the location is so calming and peaceful but still close to a restaurant etc. I loved hearing just the crickets and the views of the distant mountains. The room was very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. I couldn't ask for more!

Silvio is the sweetest host I met through all my journeys, we immediately felt home. The environment, the history of the place, animals around you, good wine, happy host, and Antonio's amazing cappuccino are all good reason to return. We love how the the renovation of this old building has turned out and how Silvio makes it a real treat being around.

It was way too short staying for only 2 nights.

Silvio is a very helpfull host, with high attention to details, nice and comunicative. And makes great coffees. The room has all facilities, the location, a tipicaly italian house is cosy and quiet.

Great house with a wonderful host

Nice antique interior, very quiet at night, the host Silvio was great, did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Even sprayed the dust of our very dusty car before we left. Highly recommended.

The sound insulation is not good. It is not problem for me but i heard the voices of other guests even if they were not noisy. The area is in the middle of the nature. far from any market and restaurant. It is advantage for me but might be disadvantage for you.

The room, the service, the location, the breakfast and Silvio... everything and everyone is great.

We had a wonderful stay. We stayed stay there while visiting the Bologna Fiera and Parma Fiera therefore it is a perfect location. The room is very practical and clean. The breakfast is delicious. The most delightful host Silvio I've ever meet is simply the best. To sum up, we spent a beautiful 4-days getaway.

The host is very thoughtful, kind and was a pleasure spending mornings talking with him, while he spoiled us with a tasty breakfast and a perfect cappuccino. The old house is beautiful decorated, is bright, very clean and have all the utilities that we need and, above all, it's situated in the middle of a green field, surrounded by trees, so it's quiet, relaxing and a joy to stay at. We recommend with warmth.

Beautiful spot in the country side, still close to Ferrara or Modena. Relaxing, quiet. Host is super nice and welcoming, loves a great chat and speaks several languages (English, French, ... ). Rooms are nicely decorated, breakfast is typical Italian style, tasty.

The whole place is made so nicely with style, so we recommend it to everybody. Great!!!

It is far away, but still worth to drive to the Countryside.

The rooms were exceptionally tastefully decorated, comfortable and impeccably clean. Silvio, the host, was extremely nice and friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful, the Italian countryside. Breakfast was excellent, traditional Italian with a wide variety of choices and magnificent coffee.

The place is great! If you wanna fully experience Italy, you definitely should stay there. Italian vibe is all over the place. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The host is great! Funny, helpful and you can reach him easily. Breakfast was sweet and tasty provided with awesome service.

A lovely little renovated farmhouse in the middle of endless green fields . Beautifully designed rooms and breakfast. Most of all, our hosts were incredible. Exceeded all our needs and much much more. They let us into their little piece of heaven! I went with my sister and they recommended a lovely super local town just Half an hour away, brought us our a blanket to lay on the grass outside and as it was Easter we even got a bottle of cava as a gift! Words really can’t describe properly how special our stay was.

Honestly can’t think of anything. It is a small place hosting only 2 rooms so if you’re looking for something lively I wouldn’t recommend. Also breakfast was really delicious cakes and pastries but if you’re the kind of person who needs meat or a lot of food in the morning it might be an issue .

We had a wonderful stay at Silvio’s beautiful place. It is perfect for Trips to Bologna and Modena but also to relax on the land side of Emilia Romagna. Thank you Silvio for this extraordinary stay and the lovely breakfast in the morning!

lovely property with amazing surroundings, in a very peaceful place

Le Stanze di Matilde was by far the best accomodation we’ve stayed in. The room was very well decorated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb!! Everything was homemade, typical and delicious! Silvio is an amazing host and always made sure that everything went perfect. It was a perfect stay and we wished we stayed longer! The location is great, because you are in the countryside and the views are amazing. The B&B also offers a private parking. We definitely recommend this stay to anyone!
