Liked it very much. Close to the old town and restaurants. Room was spacious with good firm bed. Breakfast was nice. We were worried about the parking before we arrived, but found a perfect spot close to the house. Highly recommend this place!

We had a 1 night stay here while walking the Via Francigena and it was perfect. Close to the route and local shops and restaurants which was essential for us being on foot. Our room was large, spacious and comfortable and the shower was excellent. A friendly welcome when we arrived, and also for breakfast the next morning which was delightful. Highly recommended!

Wi-fi can be slow at times

Lovely quaint old building very well renovated with clean, modern rooms and facilities. The staff are delightful and helpful serving a beautiful breakfast including eggs, croissant, bread, fruit, jams, tea/coffee and juice included. easy parking outside and in summer, breakfast is served in the delightful covered/open courtyard.

Sensational location in the heart of Martano .... Alessandro provided a fabulous breakfast each morning in his historical courtyard which just added to the ambience of Dimora Storica .. the room was very large and the beds very comfortable

The lady owner stops ID cards until check-in until check-out. Because of this, you can no longer go out on the street, drive. It doesn't seem right to me since I sent pictures beforehand with the identity cards. But the breakfest was amazing, consistent and the pie was AMAZING

Unfortunately I didn't have a car, my mistake and it is absolutely necessary as public transport is almost non existent.The internet doesn't work in the rooms as walls are too thick but ok in the courtyard.

Very genuine 16century house. Lovely people. Kind & helpful. Excellent breakfast lots of great coffee in the vaulted courtyard on pretty individual tables.Interesting big garden to the rear.I loved my room,the one pictured. Good restaurant just opposite, very reasonably priced.

Although it wasn't a very important requirement for us, the internet signal was a little weak in some parts of the room... but you just had to go out onto the patio and enjoy it 100 per cent!

The host (Alessandro) and his mum (Laura) were super helpful and attentive, giving us all the privacy we needed. The location is fantastic... right in the centre of Martano... the house itself is very interesting, looking like a mini palace... plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby (breakfast is taken in a café very close to the house)... Martano is full of historical monuments and the evenings on the terraces are very pleasant to escape the heat. The room is spacious and has plenty of storage... there was even a kitchen available... everything was always very clean. An experience to repeat!

the only minor problem was the wifi, sometimes it didn't work

the hotel is located in a good area. I had a large room with a bathroom, I didn't expect it to be so spacious and clean. the lady who received us was very nice. I had breakfast at a nearby pastry shop, where I tasted the best desserts.

Showerdoor was missing so the bathroom got a bit wet.

Nice and spacious room, tidy and clean facilities. Comfortable bed and well working airconditioning. Very friendly host, great breakfast at café nearby. The rooms are all connected by a private courtyard so a very private setting.

You should definitely select this apartment!! A hidden gem. You get more than you pay for. Place is located by the main street yet inside it's completely quiet. Bedroom and toilet are spacious, well designed and spotlessly clean! Make sure to enjoy the inner courtyard. Typical Italian breakfast is served in a coffee shop nearby. We tried the restaurant across the street and we recommend it without doubt. The owner (old lady) was very polite and although she spoke only Italian, we communicated perfectly using body language. Free parking on the street, in front of the building. You can stay at Martano, which is lovely and visit all the places around, even Lecce.

We found Casa Sicuro very tidy, pleasant and comfortable. The accommodation is managed by a group of very friendly old people who live in a house nearby and are always available for requests. Perfect central location, cafe and pizzeria in a couple of minutes by foot.

Upon arrival I was downgraded from the nice looking double room you see on the listing page to a grim tourist apartment, without any prior consultation or compensation. Sleeping in this unit was quite miserable. On a cold, 4 degree C night the off-brand heating system would function only for 10 minutes a time and then shut off. Television is 16 years old, and was not functional upon arrival. Low concrete arches in room guarantee anyone over 4 feet tall will hit their head. Breakfast served in an outdoors courtyard in the middle of winter (why?) where a person likely not actually staying in the hotel felt it was his right to sit and blow cigarette smoke in my face. Booking.com really should provide some recourse when hosts do this sort of “bait and switch” on paying guests, which in my experience has been on the increase in Italy.

No one stole my rental car.
