Located at the top of the Sassi, this well appointed and clean property is easy to access. My room was dual aspect with outstanding views from both the bedroom and the ensuite bathroom. The fruit bowl in the room was a nice touch! Remote access was straightforward with excellent communication from host Mariella.

My stay at this accommodation was wonderful. The room is decorated in a vintage style, and both the room and the bathroom offer a beautiful view over the whole of Matera. The location is excellent, with everything within walking distance. I recommend exploring Matera in sneakers, as the cobblestone streets can be quite slippery. Since there are many stairs, it’s also best to travel light. The host, Mariella, was extremely kind – before my arrival she sent me useful information about parking options as well as recommendations for restaurants.

I’d like to thank the host for the great hospitality and being very helpful, which made our stay exceptionally nice. Apartment is beautiful and the view is fantastic, AC works very properly, and the beach is not far - down the stairs, 5-7 min walk. We loved the experience and had a great holiday!

I booked this room for the terrace and it was even better than expected. The view is outstanding! The room is really clean and nice. I found the instructions really helpful, parking on the street outside the sassi was close and cheap, the room was easy to find and I found the payment easy enough

The step just outside the front door is a little dangerous. My partner fell as he missed the first small step.

Mariella was very helpful with instructions. The property is absolutely wonderful with a view that is spectacular. Clean and spacious, we loved this stay.

The room met all our needs. Mariella was a fantastic host and easy to reach and communicate with. The view from our room was unbelievable I could have stared out of it for hours. It was all perfect. Mariella gave me all instructions before I arrived, there is a private parking really close and it is in the middle of Sassi. The view is amazing, even in the bathroom. The room is huge, so cozy, you have all.you need. I loved it and would always come back

I would have preferred the payment method be through Booking.com, as it was a payment website/app I hadn’t heard of before. I had trouble with this payment feature but we found another way to pay.

I had a great stay at Lo Splendore dei Sassi, and would recommend to anyone visiting. The bathroom was modern and amenities sufficient. Mariella told me in advance of road closures due to Giro d’Italia which was very much appreciated.

Great location with a fantastic terrace. Pasquale was very attentive and helpful. His little direction videos were very helpful. Apartment is not large but is very comfortable and nicely finished.

Nothing really but just a very strong chemical smell from the kettle not sure why so making tea was bit of a waste of time it tasted awful so we drank lots of local wine instead 😅😂haha. Fabulous loved our stay !

A little difficult to reach with suitcases from the parked car and a little difficult to find because the street number is not displayed on the door. But once reached, everything is great.

Exceeded expectations - good rooms, perfect location, exceptional terrace! Just on remark - not easy to find it. Would be helpful if number of the house would be attached near to the entrance. And name of your place should be more vivid. For the rest - everything was perfect.
