How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery friendly stuff, comfortable hostel with everything needed
A bit far from the city center but there is a bus stop near the hostel. Breakfast wasn’t good though, doesn’t worth €5.

Verified reviewKitchen, large bedroom with locker and air conditioner. New facility. Able to check in after hours. Bus outside gate.
If someone in our bedroom had the window open, air con does not work.

Verified reviewI stayed at Lobby Collective Hostel for a week, mixing work and leisure, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities are excellent — there’s a silent room fully equipped with a desk, sofa, air conditioning, and great interior design, ideal for working remotely. That attention to detail extends throughout the entire space. Check-in was easy, the kitchen is well-equipped, and they offer breakfast for those who wish to purchase it. My room was clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the staff was incredibly helpful. If you’re traveling on a budget, this hostel truly delivers on all fronts.

Verified reviewIn general it's OK. Good wifi, extra wide showers/ wc, good wifi, good equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and all clean. Looks refurbished soon
The strange rule that you can't use the air conditioning before 3 pm. So, to be correct they must change their booking offer and declare limited air conditioning instead of air conditioning. I can't believe, after all you've done to make it a nice place, to have such a ridiculous rules. Even if you ask, they will not turn it on, all automated. Location. It's far from everything you may need as a tourist. Room was very basic.

Verified reviewI absolutely loved my stay at Lobby, definitely felt like home! The kitchen is big and fully equipped, there’s a cozy space to chill and watch TV, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The whole vibe is super relaxed and welcoming. The host was amazing – so helpful, kind, and genuinely nice. And the best part? Right in front of the hostel, there’s a bus stop for the city’s public transport, plus a supermarket just steps away. Don’t think twice – just book it! You won’t regret it!

Verified reviewWe took the private room with two single beds and it was very confortable, especially the beds. The shared showers were ok, a bit small but clean. Same for the toilets. All in all, a good hostel for a couple of night, especially if you have a car (lot of free parking).
There was music all the time in the corridor and it’s kinda annoying. Also, we took once the breakfast at 5e and were very disappointed. We don’t recommand it (coffee with no taste and not a lot to eat even thought we arrived at 9.30)

Verified reviewWhen you ring the bell or open the door, the sound of Pavarotti singing welcomes you. Which is awesome. Flavio, a man at the reception, was friendly but also extremely helpful. He helped improve my stay in Lecce which I didn't plan in too great a detail beforehand. Flavio recommended good restaurants nearby according to my preferences. There's a grocery named DOK supermercati less than five minutes away from the place. It's open until 9 pm which is helpful if you're out the whole day as I was for the conference. And once Flavio learned the reason I needed to depart early in the morning my last day was to catch the morning flight from the Brindisi airport, he advised me to use the train rather than the airshuttle bus which my conference organizers advised prior to my stay. His advice was helpful. The train station is much closer to the hostel than the bus station. I think I walked to the train in 25 minutes. I didn't mind the much longer walk to the airshuttle bus stop my first day of stay because I planned to do sightseeing in the city centre my first day. I loved the place, Lecce is stunning. If you like baroque and antiquity and Italy, you will love Lecce as I do now. My last day, I would have to use the taxi to catch the airshuttle bus. So Flavio helped me spare the taxi ride by directing me to the train. The train ride is also cheaper than the airshuttle bus ride. My train ran on time and in Brindisi at the station, there's a bus stop right in front of the building. The bus is headed for the Brindisi airport and I think it is operated by the train company. I didn't need to buy a separate ticket for that bus. If you need to wait a quarter of hour like I did, there's a nice caffeteria at the station in Brindisi.
I was satisfied overall. Perhaps one annoying fact is that the place is a little bit out of the city centre. The public transportation connection to the centre is also not really great. At least I didn't find the connection useful and instead walked to the city center on feet. It's something like half an hour walk. Along the way, you walk the lengthy Leuca street which is nice, filled with tiny shops and nice places to eat, talk, or get a men's haircut. Taking into account the price-quality ratio, this accommodation is really a great choice if you don't like pricy hotels or if you prefer the hostel vibe and the company of nice people. Hostel offers optional breakfast I think for 5 euros. Which is always good to have and which I enjoyed for the price which I think is reasonable. One thing I should also mention is that I probably contracted some skin disease from the key to my room. The key looks like watches which you wear on your wrist. My last day I realized I contracted some skin disease which it took two weeks to heal. Was I the reason or was there something on the Key before I arrived? I will not know. But perhaps the key wasn't purified before it was given to me. Perhaps the hostel takes some preventive measure next time and organize some purification into the process. Until then, assure that your key is purified. Let the hostel know if you have some skin issue when you arrive.
