The bedding could have been a bit more up to date but that bedding is typical in Italy and it's only for a night so...

A warm reception by the lovely Rosa who did our check in, explained everything in detail and showed us our room. The location is ideal for that. The rood was good value for money - spacious, warm and central. It's perfect for an overnighter in San Remo.

it's located on a good frequented street and also some restaurants that are close, windows to the street so there was some streetnoise

great location, close to the center, roomsize was bigger than usual, a nice old lady is running the hotel, but she only speaks italian, i would recommend to do the offered online check in to save time and not get lost in translation

If you come by car it can be difficult to find a parking near the hotel. We finally found one in the port.

Our hostess, signora Rosa, is a charming little lady, very helpful! Our room was clean and nice and the location was super if you want to stay right in the middle of the city. A perfect stay for one or two nights, near to the restaurants, the big Saturday market and the sea.

The matress was not very comfortable as you could feel the springs but it was ok for a couple of nights. If they upgraded the mattresses I think it would be a good investment. A little street noise at night from traffic but this is normal.

Rosa was such sweet lady, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. It was great that there was a lift. The room was a nice size and clean, plenty of wardrobe space. Location was great and good to have air conditioning and a little fridge in the room.

The room had air conditioning that leaks the water, so there was a tube that you put inside a "jar like thing" and at night its hard to sleep because the water kept dripping all night long.It makes a terrible noise.Its like when you didn't close very well your kitchen sink and the water keeps dripping and you can't stand the noise anymore.At night before sleeping we had to empy the jar because we were afraid it could fill up and flood the floor.

The staff was extremely rude. Even though we had already paid the city tax, they insisted that we hadn't and forcibly demanded the payment again. When we explained that we had already paid, they shouted at us saying, "If you don't pay, leave this place." One of the staff members even asked us for a cigarette, and when we said we didn’t have any, they yelled at us calling us liars. I have never experienced such rude behavior at any other place I’ve stayed before. Despite charging us for the city tax twice, they later wrote to us through Booking.com saying we hadn’t paid and threatened to call the police. It was a terrible experience in every way, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Like some of the other reviews down the years, I had a major problem checking in. I'm sure that if you are Italian, then the old lady Rosa is a delight. I am English and also fluent in French, neither of which she understood. The problem was that as I was attempting to fill in the 1970- type check in form (surely online check in should be available) she became more and more exasperated to the point of getting angry with me. I was ready to walk out, but as I'd paid... Check in to any hotel or apartment should not be unpleasant, and with the number of excellent hotels and apartments in Sanremo, I can only guess at the number who refuse to return because of the check in experience. The room was dated and tired and the air conditioner did nothing apart from stay fixed to the wall. A depressing experience

Could not get to the property because of Italian railway issues. When wanted to ask to change dates, even with paying for upgrade, was told not to bother them and stop writing. Rude attitude.

I don't recommend visiting this hotel for those who don't speak Italian. My friend and I had an extremely unpleasant situation where an elderly woman at the reception practically shouted at us, nervously tore up the documents we had incorrectly filled out due to our lack of knowledge, raised her voice, and became very agitated. Unfortunately, I don't speak Italian and felt incredibly uncomfortable and nervous after a long journey. In order to not lose our composure, we decided to say goodbye and look for another hotel. I informed the owner or manager of the situation through booking, and he canceled my reservation, stating that the funds were non-refundable and only mentioning that the woman is 68 years old, as if I should understand something from that. However, I didn't understand what exactly I was supposed to understand, and whether he couldn't find another employee who knows English or any other language remains unclear. Additionally, we witnessed a similar situation with another couple who also spoke English and were completely bewildered and very upset by the behavior of the older woman at the reception. In my 20 years of traveling and staying in thousands of hotels, I have never encountered such behavior before.

There are literally no facilities at this 'hotel'! It is not actually staffed generally so no one was around. There was a drinks machine in the foyer (water only) and another machine next to it that was not working. It was a bed for the night and nothing more.

no one answer if you need something, we got 2 rooms and in one room at 12:30 am someone enter with no reason, please try to avoid stay in this hotel, we left the hotel one night before because we felt very uncomfortable and we wanted one night as a redound, and no one answered.

The check-in procedure has to be done different. I came tired with two small children, and then having an older lady dictating word by word what to write on the sheet (I believe the hotel management needs to do this themselves, based on the passports and/or booking) which also went in Italian (which I don't speak, and the lady does not speak English), was quite a frustrating exercise. The mattresses in the bed are due for replacement. The room could not be completely dark, so you wake up when the sun rises.

The location is great, right in the center. The room has a decent size. Air conditioning works well.
