How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bathroom shower didn’t work properly, kitchen not good
hello maybe you were thinking of going to a hotel but find out before booking, this is a house with a normal kitchen where you have to do everything, the kitchen is complete with everything, nothing is missing, do you have photos from Booking, what did you see? here there are people who give their blood to work, find out more before booking, we are not used to negative reviews and you come from Canada to Rome, book hotels next time

Hello I'm sorry, for many the proximity is convenient just close the windows well and turn on the air conditioner in case. You have to know how to read well, when you book it doesn't take much, so if it doesn't go well you go elsewhere even if you pay more It is well specified no breakfast because below we have everything bar and Carrefour and we preferred it so because of the various needs (celiacs and other allergy problems) Anyway since we put photos and truthful directions, it would be better to lose

Train line creates loud sound, washroom is really small. High price and the apartment is not nice. The room size good for 2 people not suitable for 4 people.
hello the apartment you can see in the picture and I don't think it's really "ugly" consider that you are staying in Rome not in a hotel, the price ... in Rome it is high season in this period and if you look at other structures we have low prices. Have you seen the photos before booking? We are as in the picture so you could not book but maybe the comfort of the large room convinced you. Verified reviewVery close to all kinds of public transport, there is a small supermarket just on the other side of the street. The staff happily kept our begs because we arrived waaay before check in even started. The view during the shower is awesome, the room is on a high floor so you see all the roofs below, has a shared kitchen with a refrigerator. Private TV, AC, a desk, private shower and toilets.
The room was pink and we really wanted the blue one :( maybe next time. The bunk bed is kinda low, I hit my head few times

Property is dated. Rooms were OK but a little on the small side , bathrooms were functional but again very dated. Kitchenette is shared between 2 rooms and no ac in kitchen.

It was difficult to find the entrance, there were no label on a door who to call and administrator phone was unavailable. The bathroom door was stuck and wasn’t opened so the administrator helped opening it with a screwdriver. It would be nice to have more space for the breakfast, the caffe couldn’t have many guests at once.
Hi the label is at the door and also on the intercom clearly visible. It is not a hotel so you will not find a big sign. The bathroom unfortunately had closed automatically but we solved it immediately I think so I do not think it created a problem. Breakfast is offered at the bar under our structure. We offer in the structure the use of the kitchen to your liking good day

Verified reviewThe location is close to train station , so best for catching a train to airport. The Metro station is also at a walkable distance. The Metro station is called Piramide and train station is Ostiense and are separate to avoid confusion for other travellers.There are nice shops and grocery stops just down the building and quite some eateries. The room was clean and kitchen has necessary utensils. The complete house will be shared with two families, but the kitchen is in between so not much of an issue. No impact on privacy.
The lifts are very very small for either 2 or 4 people. So you need to make trips along with luggage.
