Lovely quirky hotel. Staff were lovely and made a big deal of it being our anniversary which was very nice! Beds were super comfortable best sleep of my trip!

I did not like that once I selected and paid that I could not cancel even a month out from my visit!

The staff at Max Brown is without a doubt the BEST hotel staff I have encountered in all my travels! The front desk, the bar and breakfast staff were exceptional! The maid’s cleaning the rooms ALL exceptional!!

Dull rooms and can be small, but it was perfect for a solor traveler

The styling was the stand out feature which I don’t think warrants 4 stars. The only socket/outlet beside the bed didn’t work, the tv didn’t work and the shower was extremely small. The room was very warm so not sure the aircon was working properly either. I only stayed one night so never raised any of these things so the lovely staff may have resolved but it was disappointing for a 4 star hotel.

Interiors and styling are great, the mid-century Wes Anderson style has been executed very well so fun if you’re into that vibe. Good location, staff were all great and really helpful. Bed was comfy and a good hairdryer!

Room are very dark. Barely any lights. 2 lamps in the room. Corner lamp did not work, 1 bedside lamp. 1 ceiling light at the hallway. Toilet is only lit by the mirror ring light which is wayyyy to dark. Bathtub did not flow, which they were nice enough to block another room for my shower. If these issues are fixed, will be a very lovely place. Well priced and close to city. Lovely staff especially Angela

The only downside was the lighting in one of our bathrooms - it was so dim that it felt like we were getting ready in the dark.

Really funky hotel in a great location! It was an easy walk into the centre of Milan and also to the canals, which we loved. The area had lots of lovely local spots nearby and the hotel itself was on a nice, quiet street. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and fun, stylish decor.

Lack of charging sockets. Basically in our room was only one available socket next to one side of the bed and another one in the bathroom. Two more on the table, but they were occupied by kettle and phone and to be honest in modern world it is not enough. Bathroom was too dark. No light on ceiling and only very poor light on the mirror frame. Water pressure in shower. After 10 minutes it went down to the point when it was not possible to use shower anymore and at the reception I got an advise to wait another 10/20 minutes to be able to use it again.

Bed pillows were not so comfy- possibly offer variation in size and texture

Staff were helpful - offering tips to get to airport which saved me time. Breakfast was impressive. Bedroom and bathroom comfortable.

The drainage was not working too well, and some of the wall lights were on and off even the switch was on the entire time.

Love the boutique design and all the details at the hotel, the decor is amazing!

Since we were staying as two person it was hard to use the toilet when someone had a shower but I don’t know if all the rooms are same and I think they designed it thinking about disabled people or someone who just had surgery🤷🏼‍♀️

They were really helpful very clear with information that we need to know, location was pretty close to everything. We walked around the city easily.

Bedroom was a little tired - fridge missing & bathroom very poorly lit. Air conditioning unit was behind curtain - so you couldn’t close curtains if you wanted air conditioning to function.

Great reception and staff really friendly. Breakfast whilst basic was superb.

The rooms could be bigger - Hardly any space to open our big suitcases.

Great location with all the good spots to see walking distance. Friendly and hospitable service from all the staff! Very friendly, offered lovely suggestions and always smiling. Special thanks to Jasmine and Colleen who looked after us so well. Grazie Mille! Beds were quite comfortable and A/C working well. Quite a cool theme (retro) throughout the hotel - from the nice bar in the lobby to the rooms with functioning record players.

The only problem I had was the lack of airconditioning in my room. It was difficult to sleep even though they gave us a fan and I was able to open the window.

There was a constant noise of running water 24/7 in all rooms, likely related to the building's heating or AC units, you eventually learn to ignore it, but the first couple nights was really annoying. The showers are not properly sealed, so water ends up all over the place after using them.
