Staff is very helpful, breakfast is good

Hello. In Romania, a 2-star hotel is above this hotel, in my opinion it is a one-star hotel.or my room was very old

We liked the free parking that was provided in the private hotel yard. The breakfast was up to standard and we enjoyed it.

The pictures of the hotel didn’t match the room we stayed in. The bathroom was outdated and old, not at all as shown in the pictures. It seemed dirty, as well as the floors throughout the room. The towels and sheets seemed clean.

Comfortable room, good breakfast, very nice staff

The location for breakfast is small and narrow. We suggest to use the available space in a more efficient way. Thanks.

The room was very nice and a large terrace was at disposal, very enjoyable. The location and parking were also very convenient.

We had a lot of issues with the reception. First they made an error charging us only one night instead of the 2 we booked (we did not notice it). Then they caled aifrst time to ask us to move our car, but the plate was not ours. Then they called us during the day when we were in the city in order to ask how many nights we would stay (because of course we left our luggage for the second night) and they mentionned we should have sleaved. We ask them to check our booking reservation which was for two nights. Then at night when we were already asleep (we wanted to leave early for out trip back home), someone entered in our room (our room was probably be given by the reception as we were not supposed to stay from their perspective). When my wife tried to lock the door after this disturbing incident we discovered that it was impossible to lock the door. When we checked out, and after we complained about this night visit, they offered to give us a voucher (we never received). then, when we were dirving back home they called saying that we did not pay the seocnd night. After we checked, we of course acknowledged it (they again said we had cheated...), and after some mails back home we could make the payement of the second night. I have travelled all around the world and was hosted by many many hotels; that 's the first time in my life that such a mess happened from a reception staff. The first morning, the staff at the breakfast was not particularily nice too, the second morning was much better. Moreover two smaller details: the soap distributors in the bathroom were not logically installed (very far from the sink). Finally, let's mention that the spa does not belong to the hotel anymore as announced by booking, but is run by a private company, we did not try it. Did the hotel change property and staff? Hopefully, this can be easily corrected as the hotel itself was enjoyable.

I liked the location of the hotel very much, it is not in the centre centre but in walking distance. Also, there is a free parking which is excellent. Breakfast is good. The room was huge! I think I was never in a room that big and the bed is great, everything was clean - I liked everything about our room.

The coffee machine was broken at breakfast. We didn't have shower gel in the bathtub/shower - we told the guy at the reception but nothing happened.

    Good location, very helpful staff.

The room was a little worn and torn, the shower in particular was quite unpleasant and the tap fell off several times.

We loved the location. It's within walking distance to all the attractions. The neighbourhood felt safe. There are restaurants, bars, and a supermarket all within 200 meters of he hotel. The main reason for choosing Methis was free parking. We drove from the UK and wanted a place where there was FREE secure parking. I heard rumours that the new management may start charging their patrons for parking. If that's true, then it's a huge mistake. Don't be stupid! It's one of the main reasons why people book your hotel. Leave it as-is, be nice, and don't charge customers for parking. Lovely kitchen/waiting staff! really nice! Thanks, ladies! Reception staff spoke excellent English! Helped us with local knowledge and places to visit.

They tried to charge us for two bottles of water (but soon realised we simply re-filled from the bar). They then waived the charge. It was the hottest week in July!

The Hotel is at a nice place, not so far from the center. Staff was friendly.

They have a problem with the air condition. The first room we got was 27 degrees. We asked to cool it down (this can only be done from the reception). After we came back from dinner, the room had the same temperature. We could not sleep and asked for another room . This was only found down to 25 degrees. During the night it dropped for a short while under 24 degrees, then went up again in the morning to again 27 degrees. It seems to be an older building where the AC ist too small dimensioned. That seem to have that problems in all their rooms Old food at the dinner. Oranges you could not eat at all. Almonds with several uneatable pieces within. Parking situation is horrible. We have had a parking lot only in the 3rd attempt after crossing the building two times from both sides and only after stuff had removed one car. Too less toilet paper (1 roll for 4 persons for 2 days) so I had to ask for it in the night. Stuff looked for something at at least 3 places in the building on several floors after being finally successful.

Location was easy to drive to, free parking and nice breakfast. The walk to the centre is 15 min down pleasant streets. Room was spacious and bed was comfy.

Decor is tired and in parts lacking in quality.
