We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Mia welcomed us on the front door. The room is very clean and spacious. very well equipped: wardrobe, a stand for suitcases, great bed linen. nice size shower. the public area is amazing with coffeemachine (capsules and milk), cookies, refrigerator, microwave, and more. 10 min walk to a main street with restaurants. no parking problems. balcony with chairs viewing the port.

AustraliaWe had some difficulty with taxis to and from the port as it s so close. Definitely ring ahead to book a transfer.
Our host Graziana went out of her way to help us with taxis, checking our air conditioning and organising a new wifi at short notice. The room was super modern and spacious and probably one of the best b&b s we have stayed at in Sicily. A great spot if you arrive into the port. We were able to walk to the property from There.

AustraliaThe external signage for the premises could be improved to help make it easier to find the entrance. The lift did not seem to be operating to help with large luggage to access the 2nd floor. Would be good to have an intercom at the entrance to contact the owner if required.
Hi, we stayed at Mia Rooms for 1 night while on transit from the islands to Catania Airport, 1 Adult and 2 Children. The host first contacted me in Italian, but was able to converse in English easily. You arrive to find the entry to the premises and all the rooms is via automatic remote. This is fine and worked seamlessly, if you don't have phone reception then I imagine contacting the owner and gaining access to the building would be a problem. Our breakfast was great, although we departed the next morning at 5am, everything was there for an adequate snack and coffee before going. There are cameras in the main entry foyer, kitchen and common area that the owner can view and assist you remotely with - this is ok and gives added security.
