How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is great if you have a car, but also if you don't and you wish to stay in the Baia di Sardegna. The view was superb. The staff exceptionally friendly and supportive. Our room was modern with a terrace.
Potentially, the car parking is too limited and you have to drive around a few minutes to park your car

Verified reviewOur stay coincided with a heatwave in Sardinia (and Europe) but the room stayed cool, as did our big shady terrace. You can walk straight from the hotel onto the Baja Sardinia seafront which has plenty of restaurants and bars but is relatively small and not noisy or overly expensive. The hotel is beautifully kept and in a very pretty spot overlooking the bay. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. Sardinia is a very beautiful island.
Nothing - the hotel was lovely. We couldn't do all that we intended to in Sardinia, as it was just too hot.

Verified reviewEverything was amazing. Rooms and facilities looks better than the photos. Location was great and Baja Sardinia beach was great even if it was big. Staff was outstanding. Our cleaner was the nicest person ever. Gym was perfect for us. We stayed for 2 weeks and we miss it so much.
Everything was amaazing, but if I should say one thing is to offer fresh pressed orange juice in the breakfast. They had a juicer though, but I wanted just freshly pressed orange juice. Now you can buy it for 6 euro.

Verified reviewThe location is absolutely perfect for a solo traveller and for anyone really. I had a room with sea views and waking up to the sunrise and seeing the ocean was just magical. The town square and restaurants is literally less than a minute walk so there is a lot to see. There are even three private beaches to choose from and you can pay for a day bed and umbrella. From the moment I arrived the staff were absolutely amazing. They helped park my car as it was my first time driving in Italy. I had a bad fall and they helped with me bandages and antiseptic until I could see a doctor. They effortlessly went above and beyond and all the staff were so nice. The breakfast was amazing and we always sat outside enjoying the sea view. It is in a great location for me, with onsite parking between three places and the supermarket around the corner.
Nothing. Just be mindful that there is a lot of stairs to move between the grounds outside. So if you are not good with stairs this might not be the best place for you.

Verified reviewIt was clean, relaxed, picturesque with stunning views over the bay and the hills beyond. Close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The was a well equipped gymnasium
Very little. If I had to split hairs I’d say the air con could be set a degree to two lower on the hottest nights. Having said that we did manage to sleep well every night and the bed was really comfortable

Verified reviewThe property is in a great location! The front desk was able to find us another tour ship at 8 pm for the next day when our tour boat unexpectedly cancelled! The sea side view is definitely worth the small price upgrade, the balcony view is fantastic! They also have umbrellas and beach chairs, free, to use at other beaches. The breakfast is fantastic!

Verified reviewThe landscape around this hotel was gorgeous. The location was ideal to enjoy Baja Sardinia and provided gorgeous views of the bay and beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. One of our excursions was canceled the day before and they provided us with an alternative cruise that was even better than the original one.
Our AC unit was not as cool as we would have preferred, but our travel companions AC unit was frigid.

My Engagement & Wedding Rings Went Missing — Cold, Accusatory, and Unforgivable Experience I am devastated. What was supposed to be a relaxing, romantic getaway at Hotel Mon Repos turned into a personal nightmare I would never wish on anyone. During our stay, my engagement ring and wedding ring — two of the most deeply meaningful, irreplaceable things I own — vanished from our locked hotel room. They were stored securely in a jewelry pouch, locked inside my suitcase. These were not just expensive items. They were symbols of love, milestones in my life, pieces I planned to carry with me forever. When I reported the loss to the front desk, I was heartbroken — shaking, crying, and clearly distressed. And the hotel staff… did absolutely nothing. No support. No report. No concern. Instead, I was treated with suspicion. The receptionist acted as if I were lying, implying I was trying to fake a loss for insurance. That level of coldness, accusation, and indifference — in one of my most vulnerable moments — was disgusting and cruel. They refused to write an incident report. They refused to help. All they said was, “Go to the police.” No apology. No questions. No responsibility. It was as if they were used to things going missing and just wanted it off their hands. I was left to suffer in a foreign country — mourning the loss of the most sentimental, personal items I have ever lost in my life. And no one cared. That moment broke something in me. I have never felt more disrespected or more abandoned by a place of hospitality in my life. What happened here was not just a bad experience — it was traumatic. If you’re considering staying at this hotel, ask yourself: Would you feel safe keeping your valuables here? Would you feel safe sleeping in a place where staff dismiss theft as your problem and make you feel like a liar for reporting it? Because that’s exactly what you’ll get.
Goodmorning, First of all we would like to let you know we are sorry about the events, loosing valuable and personal important belongings might lead to confusion in people’s mind. On thursday morning 03.07.25, the client’s checkout date, as soon as we got informed of what happened, we asked the Madame where the belongings where placed inside the room and we were answered that they were left in an opened box on the rooms table the saturday before, therefore 28.06.25 That being said, we asked the clients why weren’t they placed inside the safe located in each and every room, and they answered that they did not trust the security safe. Unfortunately the version of the closed luggage was not reported to us, the clients luggage resulted untouched and we were not informed of any kind of infraction. With no dispute whatsoever, we provided to contact our insurance to open a practice and we got in contact with the local Italian police station, who confirmed to us their availability to immediately open a report of loss for the clients. All of this happened at 10 AM on the 03.07.25 We asked the client at what time was their flight estimated to depart and they confirmed that it would take off at 7 PM. We informed the client that they could have gone to the nearest police station with their ID, a 10 minutes drive from the Hotel, to open the report and once finished just give to us the copy of the report to open the insurance pratice. Unfortunately just the idea of having to report to the police, with added personal statement, the clients started to change their attitude, they refused to open a report saying that they did not want to report anyone and a loss declaration would have been sufficient. They started to ask a personal declaration from the Hotel to explain what they believed happened stating that:”our insurance will reimburse us anyway” We explained that the declaration, in order to have legal value, must be written by the ones who believe the fact happened and once the surrounding of the event is clear, our insurance might proceed with opening the files. Nothing else happened, the clients thanked us, they sat down and after 30 minutes they left, without informing us if they would come back with the report copy or if they changed their mind. And then the 1 point review. We normally prefer not to answer to reviews, we directly thank our clients for the feedback they give to us at their check out or for the nice words they have for all of our Staff, which every day seriously dedicate themselves to provide the best stay possible for our clients, as relaxing and pleasant as possible. But as of right now a clarification was more than necessary, and we would like to say sorry to the clients reading, because we had to steal one of the best moments of the holiday which is the choice of the place to stay and the location where to spend one of the best moments of the year. Thank you PS: we are also very surprised that Booking.com allows to publish false news and damage the reputation and we reserve to act on it for the necessary ways

Two big problems: 1- the parkings are not enough for the quantity of guests 2- wherever you move stairs & stairs & stairs from the parking to the room to the breakfast room to the reception to the beach you have Stairs 3- being a 4 stars hotel : they have no slippers, they have no vanity set

Verified review3rd time we'd visited via this hotel. Well prepared room and large balcony with recliners and table/chairs and a part view over the village to the sea and beyond. Good and well maintained pool facility. Comprehensive, freshly prepared breakfast available each day.
We like everything about the hotel but, because of its location, a number of steps are needed to access most facilities and the village itself. being elderly, this is a challenge to us.

Verified reviewGreat location; friendly staff (Christy); good breakfast. Nice pool!
Sheets and pillows not very comfortable; need smart TV that allows streaming on Netflix. Only 4 English speaking news channels. And they need real coffee machines in the rooms. 4 Star hotels shouldn’t serve instant coffee!
