We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AlbaniaEverything about the property was good, the only thing to consider is that there are too many stairs as written,to be exact there are 185 to arrive at the destination but if you are a young couple that shouldn’t be a problem 😂.
Everything perfect, helped all the way through from the staff, the father of Andrea also gave us tips for local places that helped us. 10/10

The apartment was newly renovated, impeccably clean and well equipped. The decoration was tastefully chosen and the view over rooftops out to the shimmering sea was beautiful. We liked the location and did not mind the steps. Without steps there is no view! Host Andrea was exceptionally welcoming and helpful.

AustraliaI liked it all! It was a good choice.
The property is a beautiful apartment in a great location! Extremely clean with everything you could need. Easy walk into atrani and Amalfi and a beautiful although steep walk to Ravello if you are up for it! We had an excellent host! Who helped us organise porters ti take our luggage from the ferry. Although there are alot of steps - if you are young and fit it would be possible ti do yourself however the porters were excellent. The host had great communication and provided us with a lot of recommendations. We went to multiple venues he recommended and all were authentic and excellent!

United StatesNothing. We loved it here.
We are so happy we found this gem in Atrani. The property was extremely clean, had everything you need, attention to detail w/their decor, and stairs were totally fine. It’s right by Atrani beach and 10 mins to Amalifi. This was our favorite place we’ve stayed at during our honeymoon trip, better than a 5 star hotel we were at in Rome. The host, Andrea and his dad met us when we arrived and helped us meet with our luggage carrier. Andrea from start to finish, was easy to communicate with and helped us in all ways possible. We went to a lot of the restaurants he recommended and loved them all. Our favorite pizza place was Le Palme and we ate twice at De Gemma. Our only regret is not staying longer and didn’t have time to visit Andrea at Sea Waves. The locals were super nice and the village square has a fruit stand (very tasty), nice mini market, and restaurants to enjoy. We will stay here again during our next Italy trip.

NorwayAtrani met all expectations and was much nicer than the more touristic neighboring town of Amalfi. The distance to Amalfi was only a 10 minutes walk. It was near the square and several restaurants, but of course a lot of stairs - but we knew that in advance. The apartment was spacious, with a good bed and good air conditioning. The host was very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomLots of steps to get there - we didn’t mind them but you may struggle if you were less mobile or had large suitcases
Beautiful village, great to have a fully equipped kitchen and just suburb staff - always on hand via WhatsApp to assist and give advice - it’s also only 10 min walk to Amalfi town so you get the best on both worlds

United StatesIt is a great place for two people, but we had two kids and a lot of bags which made it a little cramped. But no complaints. The kids had a good time.
Andrea was an amazing host. He took care of greeting us at the Amalfi port and helped arrange the porters to carry our bags. He gave us a lot of tips on restaurants and places to go to. Very responsive when we had issues with the AC. It was an amazing place to stay slightly away from the Amalfi crowd within walking distance to the Ravello beach and the Atrani beach.

United StatesEverything was fabulous! Right down to the little extras le8ft in the fridge, snacks, coffee/tea, and the art!
Andrea was amazing! He greeted us at the ferry area and assisted us to the lodging location. He was helpful, kind, and checked in to make sure we were happy. The apartment was so spotless, charming, and homey!!! We loved being in the space and loved the neighborhood! It was close to Amalfi and had gorgeous views!!! We felt like we were treated like a friend coming for a visit!!

SingaporeMy advise, DO NOT go for apartments of Air BnBs in Amalfi, Atrani or Positano. this place is hilly and you need to take 150-200 steps to reach the place. imagine going up and down 2-3 times a day, ITs PAINFULL. all the fun of the place goes off. for every meal breakfast or lunch or dinner you have to go down 150-200 steps and then climb up. Its not worth the money that you are saving as compared to hotels in city center in Amalfi. AVOID staying away from city center and restaurants. the steps are unforgiving and if you have luggage your problem and pain increases exponentially. Me giving a low rating is also because, the owner ditched us at last moment to provide porters for our luggage. we agreed to hire his porters for our luggage @ 20 euros per suitecase, one day in advance. At last moment, the owner was not contactable and i had to carry 3 suitcases (of my family)alone 150-200 steps or i would have missed my bus. This was NOT GOOD on his part. Again avoid these apartments, stay in hotels at Amalfi city center, its just small amount difference, but the hassle to 150-200 steps and unreliability of owner and porter can be avoided. This place is not good value for money because of its location.
What ever was good was negated by the location of this apartment.

United StatesThe stairs but that's expected in Europe unless you stay at a hotel with an elevator.
The location was wonderful just a 10 min walk from Amalfi port and the touristy area. The apartment was lovely, clean, had all the amenities. The main bed was comfy but the bed in the kitchen area had a hard mattress to sleep on, just needs extra padding which I had to be creative. The place had a charming courtyard with 4-6 restaurants, a small food shop and a mini-market. The neighbors were very helpful and friendly.
