I DID NOT MENTION THIS TO THE HOST. A very nit-picky thing. In the shower there were two shower heads and one of them did not work. This was not a problem however because the other one did. Also there is the fact that I am a bumbling American and may not have known how to properly turn that one on!!

My friend and I booked this B and B in Annacapri based on a review given on the blog The Sensible Fay (thesensiblefay.com). We were looking for a quieter home base while traveling in Capri, while still being close to some fun activities. Monte Solaro met that need. The rooms were wonderfully clean, there was a well-working AC, the bathroom was spacious with toilet and a bidet and spacious shower (with an added bonus of gorgeous tiling), the bed was good(I slept well on it, but my friend had trouble getting comfortable.). When we were on our way to Capri I asked the owner whether or not we would be able to drop off our bags at the B and B before check in so we could explore hassle free. He told me it was not a problem and to meet him in Piazza della Pace where he would pick us up and drive us the rest of the way. This was a very nice gesture that we ended up being extremely grateful for after we attempted to walk all the way from Marina Grande to Annacapri(DO NOT DO THIS - Unless you're prepared and without heavy luggage). After a little bit of confusion, which an easy phone call cleared up, we were in the car heading to the b an b. As we got further up the road I could see why this gesture was offered. The stunning views from this place do mean that it is up a pretty steep hill. My friend and I enjoyed this as we are both very active people and saw it as a cost of being able to stay in a quieter spot on the island, but I could see how that might impact your trip if you were not willing or able. The path is well lit and there are stairs beside the road guiding you up. Plus the view, a dip in the pool and refreshing spritz afterward make it worth it. Complimentary breakfast in the morning included your choice of a warm pastry, yogurt, fruit, cheese, salami, toast, or a coffee(We had a delicious cappuccino) as you looked out on the start of a new day across the island. A wonderful stay and well worth the price. I will be back!!

Everything was wonderful!

Monte Solaro B&B is an absolute hidden gem in Anacapri. It exceeded our expectations in every way on our honeymoon trip. Costanzo has created a beautiful sanctuary pretty much as high up the mountain as you can get, so bring your walking shoes! It it far away from all the touristy hustle and bustle of the port area, which makes for a really private experience (only 5 rooms at the B&B!) The views at sunset took my breath away. The B&B is very clean, with gorgeous gardens and a great swimming pool and lounge area. The breakfast each morning was delicious and included many options. Communication with Costanzo was great via WhatsApp. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you, Costanzo and staff, for making our stay so pleasant.

The room seemed to be a bit outdated, but still pleasant and comfortable. Capri itself is expensive, this accommodation was not cheap either, and nothing so special as expected, but was fine for my needs. The pool would be fun, but was too cold for it probably.

The host was really friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast. Nice views from the building (outside of the room).

We reeeeeally liked our stay at Monte Solaro B&B. That was our best stay we have ever had. The room is spacious, clean and the view is breathtaking!!! You can easily go by bus from Capri to Anacapri and in 5 minute walk you will be at the hotel. We were looking for a quiet place without crowds of tourists and because the hotel is located in Anacapri this area is quiet and comfy to stay. The host is wonderful, he was really helpful and we could come to him with any questions, he also gave us the best recommendations what to do during our vacation, we are so grateful for such a hospitality and this is the 1st time we got such a personal approach. Thanks a lot for everything!

Cozy place with friendly host, who picked us up from the bus stop in the evening and gave assistance when we got lost in the Capri. The bus stop is close to the apartment. The view from the apparent on the sunset is stunning, since the hotel is situated on the slope high above the Anacapri city. It is also close to the hiking route to Monte Solaro. The room was big enough for 2 people and very clean. The only problem was with constantly high humidity coming from the bathroom, since the hood was not efficient enough. The breakfast had not only sweet options, but also yogurts and sandwiches. And local juicy and fragrant oranges made me completely delighted! The bed in the room was super comfortable. Hot water was available upon request, cold water - always.

The view is great, because the B&B is up in the hill. If the intention is staying for the night is ok, but if wanting to go and visit town and come back or go out for dinner is tricky to go up and down, especially at night. But worth the view.

The room was great, with a good breakfast and very attentive staff. The view is the best part of all.

Just an FYI walking to and from town is really steep and wouldn't be recommended for older or unfit crowds. But it's definitely worth the walk.

Very special location overlooking AnaCapri with terrific facilities and a friendly accommodating staff. Even has access to the trail up to Mount Solaro!

We had a wonderful two days in Capri. The price was reasonable, the host was very friendly and gave us great suggestions for things to do in Capri. The location of the accommodation was on a hillside, so it means that we needed to climb up a little bit. but with a great view of the whole island of Capri, it’s worthy, and the sunset was absolutely stunning. The room was well equipped and cleaned daily.

Given the general humidity of the location, maybe it would be advisable to provide in the room some lemongrass products to ward off mosquitoes. Otherwise, all good!

Amazing location, perfectly placed for both a hike to Monte Solaro or to explore Anacapri. The host and the staff were most welcoming, and not only provided plenty of good info on how to best enjoy our trip, but also helped us with every request we had. All in all, a very nice stay!

We had an amazing stay, and I don't like pointing out negatives but hey, for the cost it's worth noting.....Rooms were totally fine - but there were a few things we requested that either were overlooked or unavailable. Wifi was out in rooms (understandable at the top of mountain) but available in reception (OR just use your 5G), requested ironing board (didn't get one), asked for a couple more pillows as only one each (said there were some in wardrobe that weren't there, didn't get them). This BNB is also a hike! We enjoyed it, but not for the unfit or faint hearted. Host does pick you up from bottom of hill and helps with luggage which is great - just FYI!

The view first and foremost. The BnB is run by a lovely Italian family and only has a few rooms (5 I think). Generally the host was accommodating and easy to communicate with - he assisted us to book and recommend restaurants (La Zagara was excellent) and checked in each day with our plans etc. Dinner on their terrace on night one was a highlight. Pool is refreshing too! We LOVED Anacapri, it's all walkable (big caveat here being it's a mountain!) and this BNB is close to the chair lift that takes you to Monte Solaro (top of the mountain). The breakfast was nice (Crossaint, coffee, breads and cereal). Air con (tick), quiet (tick). Also the Lido del Faro beach club was awesome (another host recommendation)!

The property itself is nice, however, to reach there due to location is quite challenging. For those, who are not afraid of the walking up challenges, would be a very nice experience.

Unfortunately the water was only ‘just’ warm so we didn’t enjoy the shower but I don’t think that is an ongoing problem.
