Great bedroom set up and bathroom amenities. Also allowed us to check in early.

Still using old fashioned room key.

We loved the hotel, it’s in a fantastic location right in the centre, close to all the attractions. The afternoon tea provided for free is a great touch – a nice break from the hustle of Venice. The room was cosy and clean; the beds were conformable and a decent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The two concierges are charming characters and provided us with very useful advice – they are a credit to the establishment.

I was concerned when I saw the reviews of the property so was pleasantly suprised. The room was lovely and had beautiful wallpaper and was quite spacious and comfortable. It is located a short walk from the main hotel but a staff member will walk you to your room and also carry your bags up the stairs for a tip…(this part wasn’t expected as Australians but we gave about 5€ because our bags were quite heavy)! The location was fantastic, staff friendly and the aircon was decent as well.

A few stairs but thats pretty expected.

This is our 4th stay at Hotel MonteCarlo and hope to go again in the future. The location is perfect, San Marco Piazza is around the corner and close walk to transport and all main attractions and eateries. The breakfast is good and really enjoy the afternoon tea. Rooms are clean and comfy, good air-conditioning. The staff are very friendly.

We didn’t eat breakfast there and the room was tiny but the location was awesome… and the staff were legends

The room was very small and it was first experience ever in an annex when they said you are on your own in an ominous tone. But they were legends.. the small room became almost irreverent with the ease of access and lication

The location and it was clean

Our room was an attic ! After climbing 5 flights of stairs the door was not normal height so we had to lower our heads to enter. Access around the room was difficult as there were heavy beams and posts throughout the room and the room had vaulted ceilings. The room was dark timber which added to the claustrophobic feeling of the room. There were no bath robes as described, no city view as described and the bar fridge had 2 bottles of water. There was a taped up electrical wire in the bathroom… a wet area and on check out we were asked to pay extra money which had not been mentioned beforehand. Our previous accomm requested tourist tax before check in details were issued. My husband and I are in our early 70’s

Location brilliant so close to St Marco square yet far enough away from the crowds. Breakfast was so good, great value. Staff couldn’t be more helpful.

    All good

The location was excellent, super close to the church and main plaza, and right between a bunch of shops. The room was quiet and clean, and easy to get to. The bed was comfortable, and the room was pretty cool temperature-wise, which is something I had been looking for in my other rooms across Italy. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They set up a trip to a nice glass factory in Murano and also helped us get our luggage to the ferry (they called a helper). While we waited, they gave us espresso to sip on.

I think the shower is a bit small and there is not a lot of counter space in the bathroom. Also, the chargers are not next to the bed.

Excellent location, quiet relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and friendly staff.

Some parts of the hotel probably need updating but it was very clean and had everything we needed.

One could not find a better location. 2 minutes to St. Marks Square, 6 minutes to the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. Excellent hot breakfast. Best I've had in Europe.

    Literally nothing!

Staff were friendly, breakfast was OK.

Very expensive for what it was - a tiny room, noisy, and the TV didn’t work in our room.
