How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Smoking inside
Good location to walk some 20 mins to centro historico and around. B&B is located on office building and the owner is really nice and helpful, although he does not speak English. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

Slow internet inside the bedroom but ok at the bathroom
Excellent location, close to the old city and commercial districts of Napoli(Naples). The owner, Gianfranco, though struggling in English did his best to lead us to good restaurants and city attractions (he used Google translate). He also offered us an option for breakfast that is healthy and balanced.

the host was gracious and helpful. Despite my lack of Italian, he made every effort to procure translations into English to make certain I understood his advice as to where and when to visit venues and restaurants.

The host was super, super helpful and kind. The area provides lots of shops, cafes and other spots are easily reached by foot. When I will go to Naples again, I will look first if tere is free space at Napoli Porta Di Mare.

It was hard to communicate with the owner about our check in time before we arrived. His responses to Booking.com messages were minimal, and he didn't give us a WhatsApp number until after we checked in. I had to call his regular phone number, which was difficult given our traveling phone setup. He doesn't speak very much English.
We had a nice room separate from the owner's apartment. The breakfast was a good value.

The apartment was cozy and very very clean! Gianfranko supportet me a lot with the check-in and the check-out. The location was great and the neighbourhood really safe! Highly recommended!

The bathroom was really small and there was some problem with the toilet- it kept getting clogged (I guess) so we had to be extra careful and not throw too many paper- it gets really annoying.
The location was excellent, the host was also friendly and kind. He let us check in earlier and on our last day, he let us leave our luggage in the apartment and we could collect it later.

Location was perfect. Easy to go and walk everywhere. Room was big enough for two adults and it was clean and money worthy. Room included small balcony and it was nice to sit there and watch traffic from the fifth floor. Our host was nice and lovely and very easy to talk to him. We got morning coffee and some good tips for place to see in Napoli.

The only confusing part was finding the location of the place in the multi-story building (5th floor). Otherwise, no complaints.
Great location (central and close to port, transportation, etc.) and easy to get around. Pretty much downtown! Breakfast was great and was able to order at a time of my choosing. Host always offered a bottle of water for the day and was very friendly and helpful to make sure everything was going well on my trip.

The location was great. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and transportation nearby. There was A/C and the property was clean. I felt safe in the neighborhood, the host was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Didn't really bother me but room was a bit noisy, not from the street but sounds from inside (running water etc).
Great place to stay, host was friendly and accommodating (let me check in early), cafe forte in the morning.

There was a slight language barrier, but the basic information was easily understandable and a google translate handled the harder things.
The host was super friendly & helpful. My wallet was lost on the way and he put in a lot of effort trying to recover it even though the chances of finding it were very low. Breakfast was delicious and generous, you could choose if you like sweet or savory. Location central but at least our room was quiet and towards the inner yard.

Bot really a negative feedback sinde I understand the italian space, but one have to remeber that it is small(the bathroom).
The location, price and cute italian interior was great. Also a good air conditioner with good wifi.

The view from the room was limited and the cleaning can be done a bit better. Nothing to worry about anyway
The position of the B&B is perfect to visit Napoli. Very close to Quartieri Spagnoli, Piazza del Plebiscito and Via Toledo. Don't let you scare by the gigantic building where the apartment is located, it is a very quiet area and you can reach all the main points from there. Gianfranco is always ready to give good advices.

It’s a very nice, extremely clean and very well located appartement. The owner is a lovely chap. He offered me an espresso every morning and made suggestions on what to do in Naples. The place is very clean and very quiet. It’s great to get home after a long day walking. One feels in a white, comfortable cocoon. The WiFi and air conditioning were working perfectly. One has everything around, cafes, restaurants, markets and tourist attractions. You can walk everywhere but if you don’t like waking, the metro station is 2 minutes away. I can highly recommend it! It’s a very good value for the price.

We liked everything.
The room is in a great location close to everything, the harbor, the sea, the historical center and 2 subway stations. The host, GAN Franco is a very hospitable man. His house is decorated with taste and originality. The room we stayed in had a comfortable bed, good AC. Breakfast was good. It was nice to begin the day with interesting conversation. Great advice too.
