Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were absolutely delighted with our stay in Navona, the location was perfect, really quiet at night in the room despite being in the middle of 2 busy streets with lots of shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with air con and great shower. Breakfast each morning was had on the roof terrace in the sun, and we could have any choice of coffee or juice, cereals, croissants, toast and pastries. Nothing was too much bother, extra coffee not a problem. Freshwater machine with cold water 24/7. We were close to all major sites, all within walking distance so didn't need public transport, although did see plenty of buses so am sure it is not an issue if you need them. Despite the excellent location, good room and breakfast the best part of our stay was the staff. Edgard, Jean and Jose were outstanding, they were so helpful and super friendly, available by phone at any time if you need them and so helpful with tips for area and friendly chat. Nothing was too much bother and they honestly take so much pride in this family business you can see it in all they do. We are so grateful to them for a fabulous stay and we will 100% stay here again when visiting Rome, which is the most beautiful and vibrant city.

United StatesThe property was very centrally located in the middle of historic Rome. Easy to walk to all the main highlights and restaurants all around. The room was very comfortable for three persons and clean. We liked the loft, the air conditioning and the coziness. We absolutely loved the rooftop terrace and the breakfast (simple but delicious, and very good coffee). Above all, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

GreeceThe rooms need a bit of refreshment.. our entrance room on had a kettle and a coffee machine and a fridge but to use the kettle we had to unplug the fridge or the coffee machine. Breakfast was very limited and for people with knee problems would find it very difficult to climb all the stairs .
Location and the owner .. so incredibly helpful!! And can’t forget the great coffee

United KingdomFacilities are limited as you’d expect from a B&B, but as a base to go exploring the City you couldn’t ask for more!
The location was excellent - everywhere we wanted to visit was no more than 20 mins walk. Jose (Reception Manager) was excellent. He gave us great tips for exploring the city and great advice when it came to eating out. The room was clean and tidy and well enough equipment for a short break. The access to the roof terrace during the day/evening was a real bonus after a full days sightseeing. Breakfast was simple, but enough to fuel you for the day.

AustraliaIt is hard to say. My room was fit for my purposes as a solo traveler, but it may not suit a couple. I suggest choosing a room to suit, and I think you will be happy.
Great location. The staff were great. Very accommodating. Perfect location halfway between Colleseum and Vatican. My room was good for 1 person, small but adequate. Great restaurants in the area. I would stay there again as a solo traveler. Maybe a different room for a couple. Great value and great staff.

The hotel staff were fabulous and so helpful and friendly. The hotel was very central to piazza Navona, the pantheon, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps and was in a quieter street so there were no issues with noise. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe. The breakfast on the terrace was also very good.

United StatesNot that is mattered to us, but for those concerned about "steps". No elevator here. So ya gotta haul luggage up/down some stairs. And like us, if you walk in excess of 10+ miles [16+ km] a day, then those stairs will be a decent workout!
First and foremost, Jean was awesome to work with! He and his staff were extremely gracious, kind and accommodating. Arranging the private transportation to/from FCO was seamless and reasonably priced. The rooftop terrace was a blessing. It allows you to relax in space which is outside and has a nice view. It was welcoming to be able to unwind, share a bottle of wine and chat about the days' journey. Also you can't beat the location of this hotel. We highly recommend staying here.

Dominican RepublicNot many toiletries and dishware, also no elevator, which is expected for this type of lodging and we knew in advance
Everything very clean, room was even bigger than expected, (bathroom as shown in pictures), comfortable bed, air conditioner worked perfect, which is appreciated for summer days. Location could not be better, close to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, short walk to Fontana di Trevi and main streets. A variety of restaurants, osterias, gelatos, shops ; and, though busy streets nearby, not noisy. The satff was very friendly, informative and accomodating. Both Jean and Jose were amazing! Drinking water available at corridor You can leave luggage after checkout and transportation can be arrange through them. Not many toiletries and dishware, also no elevator, which is expected for this type of lodging and we knew in advance.
