Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The walls are thin, if you have heavy luggage it can be tough to access the first floor, and the door downstairs is very hard to open, but appart from those little things it's a perfect place to stay
Lovely hosts that helped me with everything I needed. Great location and relatively peaceful for the area. The room was quite big and confortable and had AC. The hosts were extremely flexible on check-in and check-out which I appreciated so much

Location is within walking distance of everything - restaurants, bars, metro stations, historic centre. You are in the heart of Naples. The room was surprisingly quiet at night although during the day, it's a busy area. The triple room was very big and comfortably fit our small family. Host was helpful and provided local tips as well as allowed us to store our luggage on check-out day. Best value for a centrally located, clean and comfortable room!

there was no service or way to get the keys to checkin after a certain hour. We arrived at 22:30 to the airport and were at the apartment at 23:30 but had to pay 20 euros for the late check-in. Fortunately they were nice to let us do a late check-out without extra cost.
nice location in the center of the city easy to arrive and move from the apartment. the apartment is super clean and has a nice kitchen area very complete and comfortable. The room was big and everything was extremely clean!

The kitchen isn’t functionally, it has everything needed but it is not allowed to be used, we did not get any specific explanation why

The Building is old, like this part of the city. So it's something to accept when visiting an old town

As the location is central, the room can be rather loud. Although there is a washing machine right next door (whcih could be heard from our room), the owners weren't gracious enough to let us use them, and directed us to a laundry shop instead. Not a big deal but somewhat rude.
Nice, clean and spacious room and bathroom, rather comfortable bed, and a cute little balcony where one can also hang clothets. In the common area, the kitchen is kept clean and available for making tea or coffee. The location is perfectly central, several bars, cafes, restaurants and markets around, and the Toledo metro station just minutes away.

Great location, just a few steps from the busy Via Toledo (but despite being so central, quiet at night), close to the main sights and plenty of shops and restaurants. The room was even nicer and bigger than we expected. Everything is new, clean, and very functional. Nicely decorated and cosy communal spaces. A friendly and warm welcome from Demetrio, ours was a short stay but we thoroughly enjoyed it!

our room was loud at night because the neighbor watched tv till 2am. Maybe the host can provide ear plugs.
