Reviews of New Generation Hostel Como Lake

I liked the house and surroundings. Beautiful flowers. Spacious and green. I liked that it was a kitchen there with everything I needed. Simple but clean, i liked it. Nice tables outside everywhere. Zee, one of the stuff was very kind and supportive, i arrived quite late, and checked out quite early so he gave me croissant that I wouldn't get due to my early check out, so I had a lovely very early breakfast with it . I stayed four nights though. Nice people. Bed was comfy and clean. Good lights by the bed as well. Good to have eyes folds, sometimes other people come late. But otherwise, so its better to have it. Even though it was true for me one night, the rest of the time it was very quiet and peaceful. it varies I guess. But the lights quite bright, which is good if you want to read. The design was nice in bathroom main room. Very cute silver walls. Spacious storage.

I am very easy person. I used to live in rural areas so i am enjoying some imperfections. It was some problem with draining in one of the showers. It is not all brand new looking, but it didn't bother me, i liked that it was just authentically natural was adding up to the experience rather than taking out. I had suitcase and i was not allowed very much of lifting. I needed to lift it as i walked to the house as it was lovely stones around for the decoration purpose, it was difficult to roll it on the ground so i had to lift. otherwise i liked the pebbles, but maybe it would have being nice to have a small path for rolling my suitcase. And I wanted to have a special cloth for washing a pan, as it stuck a bit too hard, so it took time and didn't clean perfectly. Maybe I didn't notice that laying around somewhere.

Bed, bedsheets, towel. Como!

Honestly, I've never seen such a list of fines at the front desk. Fines were posted for everything. It was like a high-security hostel) It is not clear how these fines would be applied if after check-out and before no one goes to see if everything is in order. There were too many beds in the women's room. The staff didn't speak Italian at all. It would be better if they did not write about breakfast and did not offer it at all. Breakfast is a disgrace! A drink and an empty croissant The kitchen was incredibly dirty and all the dishes were very dirty, impossible to cook. The shower was strange, old renovation in my opinion.

It was clean, quiet and safe. I stayed in the female bedroom. Everything was great. People friendly. Lockers were big, bed clean, bedroom quiet. I had a problem with my phone charger and staff were very helpful and sorted it for me very quickly. Location is great, an easy 10-15 min walk from Como along the beautiful lake side walkway. There is a supermarket about 5 min walk away.

The light in one of the showers didn’t work, but was being fixed. Everything was great.

I didn't have the most considerate co-guests in the dormitory during my stay, and the room doesn't get very dark during the night

The property looks pretty good from the outside. Unfortunately, I have nothing to like about the place but the location is reasonably good.

The facilities are poor, one of the shower trays is blocked, the sensor lights in the bathroom are ridiculously short or have poor detection, and my locker inside the room is broken. Don't feel safe in the room as nobody bothers to lock up the door. The breakfast is included in the price but there is only one croissant and one coffee each from 9am.

The availability of an all women's room, the staff were friendly, the fact that reception was open 24/7

Shower needed more hooks or a shelf - somewhere to put your clothes and towel that wasn't going to get wet

The stuff and the location

The place is really nice, in a great position, with nice and large rooms with bathrooms. The building is nice, with a garden around, which should be maintained in a better way.

The hostel has a lot of potential but it should be managed in a better way: every extra is very expensive (car park 25€ per day, bike park 10€ per day), there aren't organized activities, the staff isn't friendly and doesn't speak Italian. The kitchen is not equipped well and it should be kept better. The garden behind could be rearranged and used for activities or enjoy the stay or just rest.

IT îs very good located,the reception was very nice.

They Don t explain good in the site how to get to location.for example they Say to take the train to Como camerlata which îs 5 km way from location but this Is not right,the right stationi îs Como lago stazione which îs ike 2 km far from location .

Bed is fine, breakfast was fine could mabye do with more option

Very nice please, clean and well located. Staff was nice. The room was spacious and accessible.

Breakfast was a bit lacking - just a cornetto and a coffe, nothing more. The kitchen is okay, but not very well equipped.
