How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A beautiful apartment on a quiet street in the city center. Large bathroom, kitchen and a very nicely furnished apartment where you will feel comfortable. Many thanks to Renzo and his family for their friendly approach and willingness to help us with anything or recommend places to see in Alghero. The apartment is perfectly located near the harbor, so everyone can find something for themselves - whether it’s walks, quality food, coffee, or wine in the narrow streets.

Apartment was clean and very pretty. Big apartment with everything needed, very well equiped. It was in the city center with everything nearby. Bus stations, restaurations, shop. Beach is in walking distance. Renzo and family were very kind and offered help and great hospitality. Helped with any questions we had and offered recommendations. 10/10 we will definitely come back next year!

We had a lovely stay at Ninfa Alghero. The apartment is very clean and very well located, there are many bars and restaurants close. Also, you are in 5 min walking distance from the bus station to and from the airport, the old city and the harbor. Renzo & his family are very thoughtful hosts and they will help you with anything you need.

It‘s hard to find space for parking in Alghero, as there is no garage near the apartment. One important point is, that the apartment is more or less in the third floor. There is no elevator and the steps are rather steep. No problem for us but not recommended for people doing hard with walking.
The apartment is really beautiful and quiet. It’s very close to the city center, you can reach everything by feet. The owner is very nice and helpful! I can really recommend it.

Nothing to dislike but not suitable for people who can’t manage 2 flights of stairs
Beautifully clean throughout, great bed-sit layout, wonderfully helpful host who has no problem with early checkin and provided excellent local restaurant recommendations (which had no affiliation with him - he just enjoys eating there!).

Great location. Renzo was such an amazing host. He helped us find a parking space, carried my luggage from the car, gave brilliant recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The apartment was absolutely spotless.

No lift to upper floors but not a problem as host carried our bags up and down for us.
Beautifully renovated apartment in old town with aircon. Big room and bathroom. Kitchenette with microwave. Dining table & lounge. Nice view from large windows. Wifi. Apartment was on the 3rd floor with no lift but Renzo, the kind host, carried our luggage up and down for us so being on the 3rd floor wasn't an issue to us. 8min walk to bus. Restaurants, Minimart, beach & Tourist Information closeby

Nothing really but should mention that there are alot of stairs going up to the studio apartment as in an old building. Not for people with mobility issues but we had no problem with them.
Renzo is a fabulous host. Communicated with us throughout the week we stayed there to make sure we were okay. The studio was in the old town central to all the restaurants and bars and 5 min walk to the port. It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities needed fir the holiday. The bed was very comfortable and great shower in bathroom. We will definitely stay again if back in Alghero

Highly recommend that accommodation, the apartment has everything that can be needed, the bed is comfortable which is important after a long day of walking :)) and the bathroom is spacious. Also, I would like to thank the host, Renzo was very attentive and always was asking if we needed something.

If you plan to prepare some of your own meals, the kitchen prep and cooking space is limited, although workable.
It was in a fantastic location. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, the hosts very responsive and helpful.

It is one of the best places we've ever staid in Italy (and we've seen most of Italy). Renzo and his family are doing a great job maintaining one of the cleanest and prettiest places you could chose in Alghero. It's close to every place you want to visit. Totally worth it!
