Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by serious issues related to security and check-in procedures. Firstly, it appears that the property has very poor protection of its access to the Booking.com management panel. Someone gained unauthorized access and attempted to scam us by requesting payment both through Booking messages and via WhatsApp. Secondly, the check-in process on the day of arrival was a nightmare. The property requires each guest to be registered via their own platform, which has a terrible user experience and kept crashing. Given the earlier phishing attempt, we were also highly skeptical about providing personal information and photos of our IDs. At the same time the host was unable to take initiative to help us complete the check-in manually or any other way, and refused to share the exact location of the property until we had successfully registered online – which, due to the platform’s technical issues, took and hour and caused unnecessary stress.

The place itself was great for a 2-day trip to Cinque Terre. Clean, cozy and good value for money.

I've not worked with Bookings before. Working on three different platforms to communicate with the host was less than ideal (bookings, host's private site, and WhatsApp). The private site felt more secure than some communications I have had though with other host on ABNB. The scramble was partly my fault for waiting so late to meet requirements to gain access again not familiar with using Booking.com. The host was wondeful and so not criticizing them. A single AC unit did struggle in the intense heat of August but sufficient to stay reasonably comfortable. Adding floor or ceiling fan to the second bedroom would have been an easy solution to move air from den to that room.

Very good location! Really a matter of couple minute walk to the ocean front. I noted complaint about walking up stairs. Stairs are the Cingue Terre. We are talking about a couple flights of stairs ... very reasonable. Nice rooms and set-up. Very clean. Coffee and sugar in kitchen! Great instructions on how to locate and get into the place witih pictures. AC in facility very important in August. Ceiling fans in 2 of 3 rooms nice.

Not enough outlets for lamps and electronics. Kitchen outlet (for toaster) isn’t working. Didn’t have a safe.

Very hard to initially find the property. They need to install a written arrow /sign to help you find it as it's hidden up several steep sets of steps.

The property was nice, but finding it based on the written instructions is still difficult. GPS doesn't work here, because the houses are literally stacked on top of each other up the hillsides. Ask to meet with a representative of the rental company to meet you & help you find it, because we spent an hour trying to find this rental, walking up & down very steep steps on hillsides. The property is nice, but the beds are hard.

Very difficult to find. Had to contact the agency for directions and still hard to find. Many narrow stairs to climb to reach the apartment and very difficult with getting luggage up there. Also, very little privacy. You can hear from one bedroom to the other.

It felt very crammed in the apartment, lots and lots of decor, I think my kids counted 67 mirrors. It was hard to relax because we felt surrounded by knick knacks. For our purpose it was fine, but someone looking to relax and unwind may be disappointed. It was clean, but had a dirty feel because of everything shoved in there.

We had to open some windows to get some airflow because the apartment was quite warm when we first arrived.

After some reading, we decided Manarola was the best place to stay in Cinque Terre for our group. So glad we didn't stay in Corniglia after seeing the hills. This turned out to be in a great location, not far from the train station right in the middle of town. There were some steps to climb to reach the house but it was doable. It was nice to have multiple rooms.

Check out instructions were not clear and we didn't know where to put the trash when we left, that could've been communicated prior to the final day. There was not a book or anything to reference in regards to the apartment and expectations. Could use more converters, as we had to borrow the one for the microwave to use for the washing machine.

The town is small and easy to get around, as long as you don't mind the stairs. The place had a washer and we could hang our clothes out the window, which was perfect. Very comfortable stay and right off the main street, so easy access to everything.

Please note that the apartment is small and lacks sufficient storage space for luggage. With four girls and four suitcases, we struggled to find adequate room. However we managed to put the suitcases in the living and kitchen… if space is a priority, it may be worth considering other options.

I highly recommend booking the apartment near the train station in Manarola. While there are stairs to reach it, this is common for apartments in the area. The location offers a wide selection of restaurants and cafes nearby. Additionally, they provide plenty of towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. Overall, it's a great choice for your visit to Manarola.

not much room to move around apart from living room not to bad. didn’t have an iron like it said. No mention of stairs said it was on first floor but from the Main Street to get there there is approximately 34 large stairs then when you open the front door another 17 to the apartment. A little hard with a lot of luggage as we had but we managed. The very large pot plant (plastic one) in the bedroom was very dusty on all the leaves, thick dust.
