Amazing rooms with a great view.

Nothing at all ! We could have used more light in the bathroom but that was so minor.

The rooms were beautiful and the view was even more amazing! The bus location was right outside the door and was the perfect for reaching Positano. The staff were incredible and were so helpful with parking our car, serving a beautiful breakfast and chatting to us at dinner. We would definitely recommended staying here!

Great location. You stay in the middle of Amalfi and Positano so it is easy to visit these towns. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Our room has a direct view to the sea. The staff are very helpful.

Excellent location. Staff were very friendly and helpful with using the local bus system. The breakfast was delicious as well as the food at the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to those we know.

Pasquale was very welcoming . The entire staff was. We had dinner one night there . The food was excellent. The room was clean , beautiful and the facilities are also beautiful.

It is a nice hotel. I could be much better if you don’t have to take the breakfast without the noisy motorcycles and cars…. they pass in front of the hotel.

The fact that our room was on the second floor but there was no elevator (although they help with carrying the bags upstairs). There was no kettle inside the room for tea or coffee. The rooms rates are a bit pricey.

The overall aspect of the hotel, the decoration, the details inside and outside are very well thought of. The view from the rooms is breathtaking, the bathrooms are very clean. The hotel looks newly refurbished with very good taste. The location was very convenient as the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The breakfast was indeed continental, with fresh fruits from the garden. They were thoughtful enough to provide us with mosquito repellent in the room. The staff was very friendly and approachable but yet very professional.

Everything was good. Nice apartment, great view, staff was great and there as a beach a few meters away. Location is a plus as well. Easy access to Poslitano, Amalfi and all other main cities.

We absolutely loved the hospitality by Pasquale and his wonderful family and staff. The view was spectacular, food amazing, room was nice and comfortable. It was even better in person. We will be back!

The views were amazing from the hotel. Quiet yet central to everything in Praiano and the Amalfi Coast. Close to some amazing restaurants, but the Open Gate restaurant itself was so good. Highly recommend.

Just needed a little more storage in the rooms

Open gate is in an area of the Amalfi Coast that is not filled with tourists. It is a family run hotel, and has been in the family for 55 years. Pasquale , Stephania and the entire family made you feel like you were family. The food in their restaurant was delicious and breakfast was included in your stay. They were very helpful with advice to get around the coast

The only thing we didn't like was that the hotel is on the main coastal road and up until about 10pm, there were loud cars and motorcycles going by which made conversation difficult when sitting at the restaurant. It's the only road that goes from town to town so there is nothing that the hotel could do about it. The views more than made up for the intermittant noise!

The view was spectacular and we sat at the tables close to the view to enjoy it to the fullest! Rooms were good sized with modern bathrooms and everything was very clean. The breakfast buffet was copious with lots of choices. Dinner at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The staff were quite friendly and could speak multiple languages. Parking was free!

Praiano is in the middle of Positano and Amalfi. Of course staying in either of these cities would be more fun but the prices where too high.

The view was superb. The room was clean, with wonderful natural light and a beutiful terrace with a view. Good breakfast.
