Fridge should be checked because it dripped water (probably from condensation), even though it certainly wasn't a problem for our purposes. It's stated in the description so certainly not a problem, but be mindful that being a historic building there's no elevator installed, which can make the long flight of steep stairs challenging for those -like us- carrying heavy luggage.

Just the opportunity to meet the extremely gentle, interesting and kind Mr Ignazio would merit a visit to Rutigliano and the Moccia palace... but the stay there was also a wonderful experience. From breakfast punctually served personally in the room at the requested time with fresh croissants, coffee, juice, yogurt and bread with jam, to good conversation and local suggestions/help with transportation, along with a HUGE room with powerful A/C (vital in a 40+ºC summer), fridge, wardrobe... it all conspired to make the stay in a medieval palace in a quiet yet lively town close to all of the touristic hotspots in the Bari province all the more enticing. Recommended all around. When the A/C failed and we only noticed at midnight coming back to the room (which was overheated at 30ºC by that time), Mr Ignazio was promptly available to fix it in a couple of minutes for us.

    Nothing.

We were with my family here for the second time. Can’t find words to describe how polite and friendly the host Ignazio was: from welcoming us with a charming smile to writing us notes in our mother tongue so we can understand each other. :) The place is right in the heart of the historic center - walking distance just 3-5 minutes from everything. If travelling by car, it is possible to park at Pineta comunale for free during the week. There’s also a great restaurant close by Terrazza Bassavilla that we tried(3’ walking). You can definitely feel the difference in the prices between Rutigliano and the rest of the well-known cities in the region.

Parking was an issue. When I check the box for Free Parking, my assumption is that I'll have a parking place available for my vehicle in the proximity. In fact, I spent more than an hour going around city center in order to find a free spot, finally finding it at 8 minutes of walking distance.

The host is nice, accommodation is as in pictures, big room, everything sparkling clean, really delicious breakfast

The only disadvantage is the lack of parking but if you’re just for one night stay, you can park on the street and leave early in the morning.

Very sweet apartment and responsive host. The breakfast was amazing and brought to our rooms.
