How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location, big and spacious. Would highly recommend. Some advice would be. put some glasses and plates in the kitchen area also add a bin for rubbish. The breakfast was nice, but maybe change the tuna sandwich to cheese and tomato, so that vegetarians can enjoy it more

Verified reviewBreakfast was supposed to be included but never recieved it.Apparently the place had a take out service which was never available until 8:30 and then it was left at reception with no one to receive it since there are no staff around. We just went elsewhere . Don’t waste your time and forget getting breakfast. The location is great .The room is good and they have a lovely balcony.
There is no one in the building so you have to phone someone to get information or help. The art work on the walls made one think they were in a porn shop. Don’t care for the lack of service and like a human on the premises.

Verified reviewThe location is absolutely the best, right next to via Roma where all the good restaurants and stores are. The room was spacious and new construction. Very easy to find. I loved the small balcony where you can watch people go by. Domenico made sure everything was taken care of. Would definitely go back.

Verified reviewThis property is located right next to the old city and close to many restaurants. The room was modern, large and clean. It has a small balcony that overlooks the main square which is a great place to sit in the afternoons when the sun is setting.
Unfortunately, there are a number of issues we had with this property. 1. Communication is not good. 3 of my messages via booking.com over a period of a couple of months went unanswered. When we arrived there was no staff in the property so we had to ring them to find where the key was. Further, there was no information in the room about when breakfast would be served (one of my questions via booking.com) so the first morning we waited until 8.45am for it to arrive. On the positive side we asked for it to be delivered at 8am for the remainder of our stay and it was. 2. The room can be noisy at night, despite the double glazing. Facing the main square, you would expect this and we were there on a weekend too. The heavy street cleaners also come through around 5.30-6am. 3. Breakfast was a disappointment. Their website falsely advertises the breakfast by listing it under "Experiences" and stating that "Breakfast is the most important moment of the day at Palazzo Novecento. Our breakfast is served in your room in a very original style: sweet and savory high quality pastry products in an elegant box." The reality is quite different - see the pictures. The pastries delivered in their cardboard box were, however, good quality. I recommend the property resets expectation. 4. No bottled water or any other drink making facitilities (glass, cups, kettle etc) in the room. This is a fairly standard expectation these days. 5. Parking - you will need to park a few minutes walk away as the property is situation in a ZRU area. This is one of the questions that went unanswered from months ago, despite the booking appearing when i selected Parking as a filter.

Verified reviewLocation- a street away from the main entrance into the old town. Toiletries had lovely fragrance. Breakfast box. Spacious rooms. Balcony with table and chairs. Complimentary use of coffee machine.
The wardrobe- hanging rod is too high for the average person. Could only teach by standing on the wardrobe base and on tippy-toes, just in reach of the hanger. Noise from people in the park opposite and tooting.

Verified reviewThere is nothing to say. This hotel relocated me to another hotel with a downgraded suite to what I reserved with no prior communication and no discount to the rate. They then double charged me for the reservation and I had to lodge a credit card dispute to get the second charge returned.

Need attention to details. The closets are not set up properly. The bars to hang clothes is for a very very tall person. Really unreachable. The bathroom need hooks to hang towels
