How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLovely pool and terrace(s) for relaxing, with clean and comfortable rooms. The location is great – close to the city center with easy bus connections, yet in a safe and quiet area. The price was fair for what you get.
Some days there were quite a few mosquitoes around the pool, even during the day, so bring mosquito spray if you’re sensitive. The water in the pool felt clean, but the bottom could use a bit of extra cleaning.

Verified reviewThe staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight but we received a very warm welcome and a very cold beer on our arrival😃
Our room was very small and the breakfast was poor. Breakfast was better and cheaper just a 2 minute walk down the street.

Verified reviewIt was close to where I needed to be
Extremely unpolite staff. AC didn’t work. Half of the hotel was a construction area.

Verified reviewIt was close to the embassy I needed to go to so for me the location was perfect even if it's out of the centre. The location is also super quiet and peaceful and in a lovely neighborhood. The rooms are lovely, the style is unique but tasteful. I loved having a pool because I was there in July. The staff were friendly. I got a complimentary drink on arrival.

Verified reviewThis is such a gorgeous hotel. The room was lovely and comfortable. Pool area was gorgeous. Staff were amazing and saw to our every need. It’s a 15 min walk to the metro where you can access the centre of Rome. Loads of places to eat in the area. It residential so it’s super quiet and safe. Would 100% stay there again.
Breakfast could have been better, maybe a few more options. Some of the plug fixtures were coming off. All minor things that would stop me staying there though.

Verified reviewIt’s in a nice area, very calm
No elevators Lots of mosquitos No one at reception after 11pm, the lady at reception gave me wrong code to enter the hotel, I had to guess the code at 1am for almost 1 hour before I was lucky! Tried calling them, tried knocking, no one is there to help you, I could have slept outside if I didn’t guess the code!

Verified reviewNice location, pool
The place is charming but a little rundown. The ground-floor room I booked was clean and the sheets fresh, but the white bed coverlet had a visible old stain that didn’t come out (wine?) and the windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in many months.

Verified reviewIt is small and cozy, warm reception. It seems to be a family-owned place which gives it a friendly vibe, a bit more intimate and personal than a big hotel

Verified reviewWe had a warm welcome when we arrived and also received some useful information about restaurants near by. Location was also good.
We booked this hotel because it had a pool, but unfortunately, it did not look clean enough to take a bath. The room was also less clean than expected. One corner of the bedroom had a mould, and the fridge was leaking. All bathrooms, including areas above shower and walls, were covered by mould. As we asked staff if we could receive a room with no mould, it was told that all rooms are occupied for this day, but they will look for a solution. As we left the room for the day and returned in the evening same day, the room smelled like chlorine, which meant that staff tried to clean the mould. This was not ideal as it did not feel comfortable sleeping in such room, and we were forced to keep open windows overnight.

Verified reviewWe loved everything. What a welcome! Grace, good humor, and a fine cup of coffee. Enchanting floral environment, and when we were there, green flocks of parrots swooped through the trees. Wine. Jacuzzi sublime. Thank you, Palm Gallery

Verified reviewthe staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. was very familiar! The hotel was outside of the city but was easily accessible by bus (about a 5-7 minute walk to the bus stop) There were two restaurants right next to the hotel. Room had everything you needed. :-)
unfortunately the breakfast pictures did not match the breakfast itself. But the breakfast was ok, based on the photos you expected something different! but the service was great again! super friendly and tried to do the best! Unfortunately the whirlpool was dirty and unusable
