Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly downside is lift doesn’t serve all floors which was tricky with 7 suitcases! Also, can be loud in the evening as surrounded by bars and restaurants
Amazing hotel with lots of charm and character. Kids loved the mezzanine beds! Location is great, 5 mins from metro and surrounded by restaurants

ItalyThere weren't any good restaurants around, mostly just tourist traps and I did find a bit of dust around the room, other than that it was a great hotel
The room was great for one or maybe two people and it was clean, the staff was very kind and available and the location was very nice, really close to Piazza di Spagna and the Metro station.

AustraliaThere is a lift but it is accessible on the first floor, so if you are lugging big bags around, you are in for a solid upper body work out! You also need to factor in getting to and from Panda - taxi is OK they can come pretty close; if you are on the metro, bus or other, you will need to be ready for a bumpy walk with your bags. All that said, if you want a comfortable welcoming small hotel in the centre of Rome, Panda is your place.
This was our fourth stay at Panda. It is located close to the storic centro of Roma. Staff are friendly and hospitable. You are paying for a quiet location in the heart of Rome.

FranceDidn't bother us much but the walls are thin enough so when people got in late or left for early flights, it woke us up(adults). Kids slept through it.
Staff was great and friendly. Excellent location next to Spanish steps and metro. Room was plenty big for family of 4.

United StatesIt was a disappointment that the elevator - that is up one flight of stairs - was not working. But the staff generously helped carry my bags. I would not recommend the property for seniors because of the two flights of stairs to the hotel lobby. It is also located on an extremely tourist and busy/ noisy street. Easy finding places to eat there but way too many restaurants encroaching on the street making it impossible for taxis to drop you off at the hotel door. It is not easy hauling your luggage down cobbled streets. It is also easy to miss the hotel entrance sandwiched as it is between restaurants.
The best part of Hotel Panda were the friendly and accommodating staff. They assisted me on several occasions - helping me with luggage that I could not handle because of a sprained foot, getting me ice packs for said foot, getting me cold water for my water bottle, changing my sheets when requested, calling me a taxi on departure, and helping me with my keys on multiple occasions. I was also very grateful for my quiet and cool room in the midst of a very busy area during a heat wave. I also loved the fact I was so close to the metro. One of the beauties of the Spagna metro station is that it allow you to connect the the Borghese gardens on a series of escalators and moving walkways. A real bonus in the heat of the summer months.

South AfricaBreakfast was lovely—though the selection was a bit limited, everything was delicious, so we can’t really complain. Overall, it’s a great option if you want to be in the heart of the action with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere.
Hotel Review We had a lovely stay at this hotel, which is in excellent condition and boasts an ideal location. It’s just a short walk to both the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, making it perfect for sightseeing. However, be prepared for a fair number of stairs, which could be challenging if you have heavy bags or mobility issues. Fortunately, the staff was incredibly helpful and assisted us with our luggage, which we greatly appreciated. The staff’s friendliness stood out throughout our stay. They were welcoming and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely—though the selection was a bit limited, everything was delicious, so we can’t really complain. Overall, it’s a great option if you want to be in the heart of the action with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere.

GreeceThe only negative think is the mattress of the beds and the not so good insulation inside the building. We had no discomfort from the external insulation of the building.
The location is excellent as it is a few meters from Piazza di Spagna, the well-known streets Via Condotti and via del Corso in the heart of the center. The room was clean and the service was very good and fast from the gentleman at the reception.

EgyptThe elevator only stops mid way in between floors. The triple room is very small and wardrobe is tiny for 3 people. No coffee making facility . However there is a shared coffee facility outside.
The location is perfect. Very close to Spanish steps and via del Corso. Within walking distance of many Rome attractions. The hotel gave is free coffee and croissants voucher from a lovely cafe next door. That was nice touch as breakfast is not included. If you get the voucher server the coffee shop to the left with the green chairs. The cornetto there is amazing.

CyprusElevator is at first floor you have to use stairs before you can get it and the hotel its at the second floor. If you have heavy luggages and a stroller as we had its difficult to go up and down. Also the elevator its too small 1m X 1m.
