Surrounding area after dark

We liked the room, but the areas surrounding it after dark was sketchy.

The bed was too hard for me. But that is not uncommon because I am high maintenance on that. I sometimes travel with a separate suitcase just to bring a foam mattress.

Fantastic location. The train station, metro and main bus stop, including for the 8 euro airport express bus, are just a block away. One of the hop on bus stops is there too, which I like to do the first day in a new city. I walked to every attraction that I planned out, except for the Aquaduct Park which is a short metro ride to the outskirts of the city (excellent jogging there BTW).

DON’T let the main AI description of this place on booking.com lead you to believe that you will have a private washroom here. There’s two washrooms in the hallway. They are perfectly fine and clean, if a bit smelly at times - probably some issue with the canalization due to the building the apartments are in. But you will have to share. I would bring flip flops to use in the shower just in case. DO bring a sleeping mask because the room we stayed in didn’t have any curtains at all. The owners should definitely put up a curtain, as there is a rod to hang them on. DO have a way to call their number because there is no reception and no buzzer with a corresponding label by the entrance. Luckily, my mom had roaming.

✅✅✅ The location was awesome, 15 minute walk to the Colosseum, nice cafes with tasty breakfasts and takeaway pizza slices on the way, great dinners within walking distance, accessible via multiple buses and near two metro stations. ✅✅✅ The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, there was a TV, a good Wi-Fi connection, lots of places to set your things, a desk for working if needed, a floor-length mirror, hangers, etc. We had clean towels given to us and some shampoo/body wash for the duration of our stay, with the option to get a refill. There’s also free coffee on the premises!

Make sure to bring an eye mask as the curtains don't block the lamp or morning light shining in your room, luckily I had some so it wasn't a problem. The bathroom is shared which I only noticed after reading reviews. Wasn't so bad as it was quite and I only saw someone once, so I didn't feel rushed or lacked as much privacy, however I couldn't take my time as I normally would like to. Was also a little tricky finding the right door when checking in but that's an easy fix with better messaging.

I saw comments about the dodgy area, it is a little bit but not that bad. There's a lot of police by the train station nearby and during the day It's not noticeable. Felt safe there. I love that the train station is next door and important sights like colosseum are 20-min walk, makes it easy to get around.

Only 1 water kettle for the 4 rooms. The kettle was missing the other night and I do not have hot water to drink.

The location is very convenient, almost next to Termini Station. With local shops and restaurant nearby. The place is very clean. Staff are friendly.

The room was very comfortable and clean. It was pleasant to stay there. Although the place looks like a shared apartment we didn't have problems at all with noises during the night. There was coffee available in the common area and also 2 bathrooms available, which was pretty nice. Also the location was really good! It's near to the main station, but we didn't feel endangered.

Perhaps the lack of a balcony so as to accommodate smokers but that is never an issue only wishful thinking.

Paramount is in a central location with great transportation option (5 minute walk to Termini but also bus stops talking you across the whole of Rome). The neighborhood has a very friendly homey atmosphere and also one feels very safe in this accommodation. Furthermore the place was exceptionally clean. It was obvious this accommodation was cleaned every single day.

The surroundings of the hostel are not very clean, and it seems rather dangerous. There is a lot of traffic and noise outside

It is very close to the Roma Termini so it's easy to go anywhere you want to go. It was 20 min away from the colosseum and other landmarks. The host is very nice, friendly,, helpful and easy to contact.

Our stay at Paramount was great! The owner is really nice and responsive, the location really well connected (this suburb wasn't as dodgy as someone wrote in our experience, I guess you just need to be aware of your surroundings). Wifi was good too and the double glazing of the windows was good enough to let a light sleeper like me have a good rest.

Bright street lights shined directly in our room and the curtains didn’t block it out so we had to wear eye masks at night. The street was also pretty loud occasionally but wasn’t too bad.

The description of the property says " It has simply furnished rooms with an LCD TV and a private bathroom." But bathrooms were shared. To be fair, the room description has it mentioned, but nevertheless, stating that rooms have private bathrooms was a misleading experience. Consider this, and probably bring a pair of slippers. There was also no room cleaning/service at all, and we had to specifically ask for a new trash bag and fresh towels, I would expect this to be provided without asking for a 5 nights stay.

This was a last-minute booking and it was good value for money with being booked just 2 days ahead of check-in. The location was very convenient, it was 2-5 minutes walk from termini Station ( 5 minute from trains, 2 minute from Airport bus stop). Rooms were clean and manager was super-friendly and helpful.

The accomodation is located approximately 2 minutes from bus stop to airport. Very close is also metro and bus station. However, the accomodation is calm and quiet. 2 showers for 4 rooms seems like a good ratio. Host was relaxed and cool guy.
