You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Lovely place. Car is mandatory. Better speak enough italian If you need more support. Public transport is tricky. Owners don't live on the property (my fault to get that wrong) We got a lot of help/ food from very kind guests. Very clean, plenty of towels. Extremely cute cat. Very good value for money.

DenmarkThe main problem is when we arrived the room is entirely smelly of sewage. The shower drained is clogged. Even if we kept the bathroom window open we can still smell the sewage as a plus the toilet bowl has yellow stained which should be replace. For us as a guest. Either it’s a hotel, B&B or Airbnb it’s very important that when you rent a place its hygienic and comfortable.

Andorra9-hour blackout, 75% of the time we spent in the room. During that time, we had no electricity, no light (the emergency lighting didn't work in the room), no hot water, no fridge, no air conditioning, no tv and no support at all from the staff. The room was very hot without A/C and we had to open the windows and suffer mosquito bites (the property has no mosquito nets). The property has 3 other reviews mentioning the same problem (blackout, happening often), which they have done nothing about (e.g. buying a small generator). They received 100% of my payment and saved 75% of cost of electricity for my booking and refused to give me any refund at all. I asked for a refund as soon as the blackout happened but they said "it's not our fault". They refused to share the consequences of the blackout, which I had to suffer fully. They received 100% of the money and saved utility costs, so it was even better than a normal booking for them. I must also mention that there was staff in the premises, but no one came to my room or contacted me to ask me if I needed anything (like a torch, a cool box where to put my fridge contents, or just to show empathy and apologise). I must also express my disappointment with Booking support, which basically abandoned us and said that we had to solve this problem with the host.

GermanyThey gave us an address KNOWING that it appears differently on google maps, so we could not find the place. We all woke up with itch due to bed bugs. There was no electricity, we asked the hotel for help and they said we should tolerate it like that.
