Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Checking in on a Sunday we were disappointed to find the pool area fully booked with local customers, if we'd have known this in advance we may have chosen a different hotel as it was just a one night stay to be close to the airport. Worth checking in advance if it's possible to pre book the pool area facilities in high season.
The room was comfortable and as described, the on site restaurant was fantastic with great service and food. Check in was straight forward and seamless. Staff were very friendly.

The place was nice, but the walls were not able to keep the noise out from people going g to the pool, which was directly behind the row of rooms and you could hear people talking outside and it usually was in the early morning, so not able to sleep past 7am.
It had a restaurant/pizzeria on premises and the food was good.

There were very loud neighbors on both sides of the room who were very loud and yelled in the middle of the night.

Further away from beach or train stations (need to rent a car), can hear background noise from evening events in the restaurant, some staff members cant speak English
Restaurant and bar next door, swimming pools, good atmosphere, calm neighbourhood, good parking place, new towels every day, many wall sockets, restaurant with wide range of dishes

I informed the property about an issue we had with the bed, it’s been almost impossible to sleep
we had to wake up very early to take the flight back and the hotel was in a quiet and great position for that, very aligned in terms of price-quality

Sound proofing is bad.
Less than 15 minutes drive from the airport. A lot of parking space around. Tasty pizzeria next to the hotel.

Yes there is a pool, and yes guests have access to it but on condition that you have a swim cap or pay 3€ for one and then share the pool with locals for their swim classes. This is the only pool we’ve been to that enforces a swim cap rule and this should have been mentioned. The show wall/doors aren’t very well secured so even while trying to shower and aiming at the interior corner the shower seems to flood outside. There were mini ants in our room, nothing major but I’m not sure how clean it really was or how insulated the place is if they can get in.
The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Good amount of storage space. Location is okay if you want to drive / or walk in direct sunlight to a nearby beach. Big parking but if you arrive during the day it may be difficult to find a spot with the locals who come to swim. The restaurant attached to the hotel/pool is very good and the pizzas were great

Some staff at the restaurant was quite rude, the room we got was too close to the wood oven chimney, therefore we had for most of the day soot on our clothes and bad smell

Eventhough we had inquired beforehand regarding the pool (open& the possibility for a swim) in the end access was denied which was really bad for the kids; they could only watch others swim; the restaurant which is located next to the pool serves good pizza - again kids would only watch people swim; this is why we are rating this place as a disappointment

The room was disappointing. There were ants in all 3 rooms. The shower needs updating. The room was dark with only blackout curtains. There could have been some transparent curtains too for light.
I liked the location for the airport. I liked the restaurant and pool facility, but the room was the biggest disappointment.

All good. I'm pretty short haired (i.e., bald) so didn't need the mandatory swim cap but they were fine anyway and only 3 euros. Not a problem.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location to end our stay in Sicily. Kids possibly enjoyed it more than the villa we'd had for the rest of the time. The pool is great. Lifeguard super helpful and friendly. So near the airport, which is what appealed but it was much better than we'd expected. Restaurant on site was good. Cool room when temperatures outside were 38-43C during our stay. And close to a nice traditional little village with a brilliant gelato place.

Wifi not working. No patio, no kettle. Access to the closest beach about 7 km. No direct access on foot. The car is necessary.

The photos and description are extremely misleading. This is a building in a location that is a wasteland. It is surrounded by derelict land/vacant building sites and there is nothing of interest around it. The pool looks glorious but it and the spa were unavailable. There is no permanent reception. The building is unattractive and the walls are paper thin so that you can hear the people in the next room even if they are speaking quietly.
The restaurant occupying the same building was very good. The rooms are comfortable and clean.The shuttle service provided by Enzo, an independent contractor, was excellent
