Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The hosts are fabulous, offering the very best high standard accommodation and communication along with local recommendations. Every thing is spotless, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast was tasty and fresh. Our room had a spacious balcony, comfortable seating with views towards the stunning mountains. The location is ideal only a few minutes drive to historical Lucca. Parking is outside the front door and an excellent pizza and Superette are near by. I would highly recommend staying here if it's available 😀

Tiziano & Elisa are WONDERFUL hosts! They will bend backwards in order to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are driving, they have their own parking spots behind the building. (Parking in Italy is a premium!) They are close enough to Lucca walled city that it is a very short drive. Far enough that that you will have a very quiet sleep. There is a large grocery store nearby with everything you might need and more options of prosciutto that you could drink in a lifetime! The Dimora is simple (no unnecessary bells & whistles) but extremely clean (which is a must for me). Everything was very comfortable and the owners are the friendliest people ever!

Everything! Lovely & helpful owners, beautifully appointed with everything thought of, free parking outside the property, lovely garden to relax in, delicious breakfast & proper coffee, super clean, comfy beds, great shower. This is a gem, and you would not be disappointed. It's a short drive into Lucca, which has a free carpark outside the walls. We also visited Villa Reale nearby, and that is certainly worth a visit. Beautiful gardens and fabulous renovation project with lots of before and after information/.photos.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff - it is basically a family business and you can feel their hospitality. Nice and clean rooms. Very tasty breakfast. Parking spot included.

A refrigerator for guests use would be necessary, especially during summer.
Very clean, the hosts are very helpful and nice. Close to Lucca- around 7 minutes by car. Thank you for all!

A very modern, minimalistic room. Not big , but spotlessly clean, good bed and good shower. The owner breathes 100% hospitality and makes you feel so welcome. The b&b is about 10 mins drive from Lucca. But the distance is also reflected in the price. Value for money. We loved it

Nothing, everything was perfect.
Loved absolutely everything about this small B&B. The hosts were lovely and very helpful, the rooms were clean and practical, there is a small garden in the back of the building where you can unwind after a hot day. Breakfast was lovely. There is ample parking space.

Nothing to point out
The host was very nice and wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for the us. Everything went very well, since the check in, until the check out the next day. The breakfast was good, and the rooms as well. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean and enjoyable. A really good B&B that we would recommend to anyone visiting the region.

Dark curtain did not cover all the window so in the morning we could see light passing by.
Spotless clean room with private bathroom. Comfortable bed. Location is quiet and we enjoyed being woken up by birds songs. Breakfast options are good.

Was very happy with my 2-night stay at Piccolo Dimoro B&B. The room was very fresh and good, the service from owner Tiziano was extremely good. Helped me out a lot with arranging transport during my stay(can be a bit tricky without your own car) and more.

Lovely little B&B, perfect for our short stay as we were passing nearby. The hosts welcomed us warmly, gave us great advice on where to have our dinner and went out of their way to ensure we would have something for breakfast as we were leaving early the next day. The B&B was clean and cosy as was our room. We got a good night sleep in the comfortable bed and got the rest we needed to continue our journey.

Maybe a small fridge in the room would be a good idea for the hot summer days,
The room was nice and comfortable, just what you need for a few nights in Lucca. It was also very clean. The breakfast was delicious and we had a big variety to choose from. The host was also really nice and helpful.
