How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNothing.
Staff at reception was not nice, not welcoming in service. The public road before arriving this hotel is small, very difficult to past for 2 cars. The room had smell bed of dog. We didn't get a sea-view room while our friend had.

Verified reviewBreakfast mostly sweet and the same every day. Very small room with a musty smell. At check out, although they received the billing details and email, the Reception did not issue the invoice until after 6 days of phone calls and emails - unserious. You do not have enough parking spaces! 3 star hotel at most.

Verified reviewThe staff were polite and helpful, some spoke basic English which helped a lot. The family room was big and comfortable, also the room was clean. Lovely breakfast every morning.
The pools are not heated, also the upstairs pool was adults only. The carpark was very tight and the upper car park had a steep slope which made it a risk on catching the bottom of your car. They have an overflow carpark in gravel down the road. The wine is sweet and watered down, the lager is just watered down. Not much food on evening meals for children, table we eat from had a problem with ants every night. Table tennis is outside in kids play area so playable in the daytime and when dry. You will need a car as it’s distance from anywhere.

Verified reviewVery strange hotel.. "All in" it is definitely not. Start with a room that has a "pole " in the middle of a Very small shower/ wc room to begin with... not a pleasant experience. Moving to the dinner which reminds more of an army canteen than anything else.. food need to be selected a day in advance from a " menu " that contains nothing but very bad pasta as first dish, and follow with an average meat dish.. I didn't feel im in Italy.. Bread is old every day.. Tomatoes in the breakfast buffet looks like they committed suicide a week before..location remote on a cliff that even Rambo would find challenging to climb.. rats chased by staff on the main road..and beaten to death.. Staff is friendly, though. At least that, Stay away is you value your vacation time and money

Verified reviewThe view from the room was stunning. Pool was beautiful and had unlimited gelato, drinks at the bar and such. Aperitivo (afternoon snack) was also great. Huge Breakfast.
Coffee, juices and tea were really bad. Some morning breads were dry and stiff. The Personnel at the bar were a bit rude, overly checking the time when we order last round of drinks 10 minutes ahead of bar closing. The location of this is not ideal, but the view is amazing and if you have a car 100% worth it.

Verified reviewAmazing view and friendly staff.
The swimming pool water was extremely cold, and we couldn't swim. It should be heated as per the normal standard.
Hello and thank you for your review, our pools are not heated and the average temperature is 22 °C, we are sorry you found them cold kind regards Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewParking in place, big and clean room and comfortable bed, good location as Garda sightening base camp. Nice view from terrace to Garda like. Pool is clean. Free Access to hot & cold drinks whole day. Some people in service crew were nice and engaged. Nice village behind the hotel fence: Old buildings, narrow streets, quiet and charmy.
Food - good choice but average quality; so noisy cantine (crowded); Some service crew not engaged (even drunk)?! Chemistry used for room cleaning with quite „sharp” smell (however cleaning level is very good!). The Elewator need a good maintenance!
Thank you for your review, I don't have drunken employees in the hotel while working, and as for cleaning products, since the pandemic we have a chlorine product for disinfecting bathrooms, Yours sincerely Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewLovely view, breakfast very nice.
Poor parking, ignored by staff. Hotel layout difficult if you have mobility issues as lots of ramps and staggered building layout.
Dear Mr Dan we have enough parking for all the cars in the hotel, 115 spaces in total with 109 rooms, certainly not near the reception, it would be impossible, but once you've unloaded your luggage even if you walk 100 metres I don't think it's a big problem. Regarding the layout of the hotel on booking.com it specifically says that the hotel consists of a main house and 2 annexes. When you made your booking if you had any problems, you should have let us know and we would have done our best to accommodate your requests. I hope you will find your corner of paradise on Lake Garda in the future. Best regards Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewExcellent choice of food, very good quality. Great value for money
We found the staff a little unfriendly. We learnt quite quickly that staff are allocated to certain tables each night, these staff are pleasant when they see you around the hotel. Any other staff we found very impolite and didn’t smile or say hello when we spoke to them. Particularly Dona who never said hello or smiled when we did to her, we felt she looked down at us for no reason and this made us uncomfortable and unwelcome: Some staff told us of workplace bullying that was happening and this did have an impact on our experience-knowing we were having a nice holiday whilst behind the scenes in house bullying was occurring. We’re not naive and know this happens everywhere sadly but we don’t want to hear if it on our holiday. We felt sorry for the staff involved but they shouldn’t be telling guests issues, quite unprofessional. Reception ladies were rude, however the gentleman very helpful.
I am sorry that you felt that some of the service people in the hotel were rude. I always try to make people who work with me understand that our mission is to make guests who come to the hotel to relax have a good time. As far as bullying is concerned, I don't understand what you mean... we laugh and joke and tease each other... but I have never seen bullying. best regards Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewafter my wife didn't feel well, we decided to stay only 1 night, not 3 nights... the manager refused tot pay back the 2 nights and told us to contact Booking.com... Booking.com tells us to contact Hotel Piccolo Paradiso.... terrible and we are very disappointed....
Good morning Mr Bé, I feel sued because you claim that my reaction was terrible. I am the manager of this hotel, I am not the owner and I follow the guidelines that are on our website and dictated by the owners. I am sorry for your problems, but if everyone booked for a few days and then came here and decided to leave due to various personal problems, the hotel would remain empty, for more information please contact our booking office. Yours sincerely Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewThe view from balcony and roof top A small fridge is in the room but too noisy.
The breakfast was overcrowded and the food quality was disappointing, especially considering we were in Italy. The hotel is very large, and the sheer number of guests made breakfast feel more like a busy airport terminal than a relaxing hotel experience. Parking was another issue — very limited spots available. In our room, the bidet only had extremely hot water, with no cold option, which was uncomfortable. What really set a negative tone was our arrival: on the first day, a waiter was visibly angry, shouting behind guests and locking the terrace doors of the restaurant. I had to ask him to calm down — not exactly the warm welcome you'd hope for.
Dear Mr Bolgar, we're sorry you didn't appreciate our hotel to the fullest, because we always put the utmost effort into the things we do and prepare, as far as the influx of customers at breakfast is concerned, when there are almost three hundred customers in the hotel, it's normal for there to be a bit of a fuss. Especially when there are lots of children. But children are our future!!!!! kind regards Renato Zambiasi Director

Verified reviewThe views of the lake are great and the mountains directly behind the accommodation Food that was served for dinner ( chosen from list day before) was well presented and hot. Breakfast lunches normal fayre for AI
Staff work very hard 7 days a week, this must impact their morale and wellbeing, which sometimes shows. Reception staff kack smiles and the dinner service felt rushed as they had so many tasks to do. Bar basic, no menus etc Wine and beer from machine...definitely watered down Very little/ poor vegetarian options when you receive the daily sheet to order, being vegetarian felt like a difficulty. On the Sunday, three meat choices for the second piati. Was told to just write vegetarian. What was presented was not what we eat ( processed meat alternative), so was disappointed not to have a choice written as neat eaters do...its 2025! Did inform reception. The position gives the views but also a challenge to reach... We are travelling around with backpacks. Had to take a taxi from Toscolano Maderno 15 euros to cessina and a walk or 25 euros to hotel. Therefore, we didn't venture out for few days we were there Decor is dated Pool areas small
