Everything well thought and preserved, location is great to explore Tuscany especially around Siena. The apartment offers privacy and quiet even if there are other apartments at the same building.

Everything went smoothly. The hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. When minor health issues arose, the host promptly assisted and managed everything, even accompanying us and providing translation, for which I am sincerely grateful.

The fact that this review might make it harder for me to book again!

The setting is wonderful, the host welcoming, thoughtful and generous. The architecture is so well thought through and it just feels so special. Space is generous and private. Information is readily available and Stefano will spend as long as you want to get to know the area. The pool was closed for our duration but looked large and inviting.

If you have a larger car it is a little harder to enter the parking lot.

The location was perfect for exploring Tuscany. A lot of space. The appartment was big and clean, the kitchen was fully equiped and prefilled with food, which was great. The owners were very kind and helpful. The place was beautiful!

The property is set on a beautiful hill, surrounded by so many olive trees. The room is quite cosy and fully equipped with a kitchen setup which we loved and didnt have to go out for lunch or dinner. We had a great stay and bought olive oil bottles from Stefano.

It is a beautiful property, located in a very peaceful location, with a wonderful view. We stayed in a great apartment. It is a great base for exploring the Tuscany region. We were very well received by Stefano and Luisa's hospitality. They gave us great support, all information about the accommodation, as well as several tourist tips and restaurants in the area. I definitely recommend this guest house to everyone, and I would love to be able to stay there again.

This very nice country house is 15 to 20min away from Siena and located in the country side with lots of other Tuscan attractions close by. Our apartement was comprisingly equipped - both the kitchen as well as the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The host was extremely welcoming and explained everything including good options for dinner and sight seeing. They surprised us with some equipment for dinner in the apartment.

La Fornace di San Galgano is a great starting point for exploring the Siena region and Tuscany. We really enjoyed our time in this extraordinary place. Luisa‘s and Stefano‘s hospitality made us feel right at home.

The parking is a little inconvenient but manageable

Good location…excellent views….quiet relaxing…very private. Was in area for a wedding at San Galgano Abbey and it was only a short drive. This stay followed a trip to Rome Venice and Florence and it was perfect to relax before the wedding. We were greeted with a bottle of wine…an assortment of snacks and homemade bread. Eggs milk cheese and bread are offered daily and hospitality is wonderful!!

The weather. It got cool and rained. We didn't get to sit outside on the lovely terrace.

What a beautiful spot in the Tuscan mountains. Stayed in the suite with the bedroom/bathroom downstairs, and the kitchen upstairs with windows on all 4 sides! We only got to use the pool once due to the weather, but it was perfect. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine, cake, cookies, packaged crackers, bread, jams, croissants - and the fridge/freezer had juice, milk, yogurt, eggs, salami, cheese, butter and orange juice! Spaghetti and a jar of sauce were so appreciated on our first night. A toaster, kettle, microwave, plenty of glassware, plates and cutlery. Luisa greeted us and made us feel right at home! She toured us around the property and shared its amazing history. She told us to come to reception in the morning at 8.30 for fresh bread and replenish what we'd used - we did! Used the washing machine, too. We saw 3 deer and a wild boar in the area outside the fencing. The view is spectacular! We didn't want to ever leave this paradise. Side trips to town for beer and salad, and a lovely restaurant as recommended. Went to Siena for one day, but it was hard to leave the property! I want to go back for longer. Thank you.

What I liked best is that the reviews turned out to be true: La Fornace was offered privacy, comfort and support to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as we were hoping for. The best choice you can make. It's a very nice place on a hill, so you have great views all around. Rooms are great, with everything you may need. You have plenty of things not only sweet, plus sth for dinner. They gave us a local wine as a welcome (you can also buy from them other local ones) you can also ask for a fresh bread each morning. The personel is super kind and helpful. They explain everything, give you advices about places worth to see in Tuscany, restaurants and what you might need. They speak good English, so no worries and text you back quickly.

Amazing stay in this establishment! Stefano the host offers the beat quality/price i’ve seen in Italy. Beautiful 2 stories apartment, very clean and cozy. We rented the Torre apartment, it has a kitchen on second floor. Upon arrival, our fridge was filled with water, wine and juice, fresh bread, pasta, tomato sauce, garlic and onion and everything for the breakfast. It’s above expectation! Stefano is passionate about his home region Sienna, took the time to share information and a bit of wisdom. Thank you and bravo! Recommend 110%

Very nice host Steffano. Everything is superb clean. Pool is fantastic, very clean, with view to olive gardens. Real Tuscany feeling. Breakfast is included like full refrigerator of local food. Refill every day if needed. We stayed with 2 kids, rooms were very comfy and big enough. Host suggested best options for restaurants in area. Steffano also showed hidden gem place - swimming in mountain river not far away from house. That was very fresh adventure it hot summer day. Only locals were around in river beach, no tourists. Hotel house is not far away for main points of must see in Tuscany. Sienna only 15min driving. Definatelly place to return if again in that area.

The swimming pool could have been more frequently cleaned.

The room had its own kitchen where we could prepare our own breakfast whenever we wanted. The place was very peaceful and quiet. Fresh air and cool especially in the evening. The design of the room was traditional.

we loved everythin

We loved absolutely everything. Beautiful and spacious apartment, very clean, you have everything you need , stunning views from the windows, beautiful surroundings. The owner is very kind, providing info about the area, suggesting where to go/eat etc. We had an issue with wi-fi, and the owner arrived after we texted him to resolve the problem. Besides the busket with groceries for the breakfast, we got welcoming wine, handmade cake and cookies, pasta and sauce in case we are to tired to go to the restaurant

We had a wonderful stay at La Fornace. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with a lot of thought about the small details. The beds were very comfortable and the kids had a great time in the pool. The kitchen was very well equipped, including products for our first dinner and home made cakes and cookies that were generously given during our stay Stefano the owner and Luisa were extremely kind and welcoming and went out of there way to make our stay comfortable and to help plan our daily trips in the area. We hope to return to enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful scenary

Very beautiful country house and super welcoming owners. The room and kitchen are very nice, absolutely clean and equipped with everything needed. A lot of food in the fridge for breakfast plus fresh cake, bread, cheese, etc. each morning. Loved the moka pot, we had the tastiest coffee. The breakfast can be taken inside or outside, under the gazebo in front of apartment. Fantastic! The pool is delightful, super clean and we got the chance to use it several times although the water was a bit chilly, being October. The hosts are truly friendly and helpful. The nature around is lovely and the whole place is very quiet and peaceful. There are also several restaurants 10 minutes away by car. Highly recommend it, we had a wonderful experience at La Fornace!
