Reviews of Podere Dell'Anselmo

Breakfast was good with plenty variety. We had our 14 month old grandson with us and there was plenty choice for him. We loved the outlook and the surroundings. The pool was an extra bonus - easily accessible from our room. The staff were excellent and very accommodating, especially with our grandson and provided a very clean cot for him. They were friendly and helpful when we were trying to find the location of our son's venue. All the staff were professional and the manager was especially good. The office staff were also brilliant. We would want to return another time and enjoy more of the amenities and excellent food on our own. We regretted not buying wine and olive oil to take home but were rushing at the end to get back to the airport.

The roads near the venue were a bit bumpy in our hired car.

The pool was really beautiful and the location was pretty. The staff were very helpful and attentive when assisting us. The owner was very helpful in getting us to the train station in time to get our train to Florence.

The sofa bed in the upstairs apartment was quite hard and not very comfortable. The air-conditioning in the downstairs apartment did not work very well and it was quite hot when we were there so sleeping was difficult. Also, the pool was used by outside guests, of which there were quite a few, which made it crowded and difficult to find lounge chairs for paying guests. I would recommend that one really needs a car to stay here. Unfortunately on the day we checked in there was a transport strike which meant a costly 200 euro to get two taxis to bring us here from Florence (30 minute ride). It is also a fairly an expensive exercise having to book a lift to and from the local train station.

It was such a lovely place to stay. The location is breathtaking and the staff is lovely. It feels like visiting a family of staff, very warm welcome. We also did the cooking class which was amazing!!!!!!! I would highly recommend booking it. After we had dinner with a group of people which will serve the real italian vibes! <3 thank you so much for this stay!! I hate to do the ‘negative’ comment because the people are SO lovely. But if I would give honest feedback; the room is a bit outdated. The airco did not do his work properly which is for us an important detail

Very friendly and flexible staff and owners, beautiful pool, good breakfast, beautiful view and nice garden. The place has a good restaurant which was for us a great plus. The rooms had kitchen so you have really different options for your meal. Overall we enjoyed the place a lot, we would return there in the future, and we would recommend it.

Furniture of the rooms was OK but not new, air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working well for a part of the stay. The place hosts sometimes private events like weddings, birthdays, which could partially limit the access to some facilities on those days, but the staff was flexible and gentle so overall we did not experience much inconvenience for that.

What a spectacular location! Fabrizio and his staff were very friendly, and it felt just like home. The breakfast was lovely, and the dinner we had on our last night was delicious. We also enjoyed a bottle of Fabrizio's wine, which was thoroughly delightful. We will definitely stay here again!

Everything met or exceeded our expectations

I could not recommend Podere Dell'Anselmo any more highly. Fabricio and his team were so welcoming and accommodating, the food and especially the wine were just delicious (we had to make sure we brought a bottle home), the pool area was just beautiful. I hope to be back again and would recommend booking if you are thinking about it!

Absolutely best! The hosts are amazing people, even our kid got a company there. The rooms were clean and comfy. The territory was like a park, the food was delicious. Everything was superb. Definitely might come back there again.

We stayed here for about 1 week during winter when it was fairly quiet with only 1 or 2 guests staying at the same time. The apartment was massive and had a beautiful balcony for our morning coffee. Despite it being quite an old building there didn't seem to be much dust and it was cleaned quite well. The staff were amazing and attentive, and happy to help with whatever we needed. Great location just outside of Florence, we were able to rent a car from the florence airport and drive to Podere Dell'Anselmo without much hassle. Behind the accommodation is a wonderful horse school where we were able to do a horse ride in the morning through the Tuscan valley which really made our experience super enjoyable. Nice and quiet during the night. Breakfast was amazing, we still think about it weeks later, the homemade focaccia, tomatoes and selection of other breakfast foods was fantastic. We would love to come back in Summer.

The road to get up to the reception is full of pot holes, it was more of a dirt path, that had us a bit worried about damaging our rental car, perhaps they could look at renovating this as I saw a few other people struggled with it. Although we just drove quite slow and it seemed to be ok. Dinner was a bit expensive, but the staff were coming in despite it being a holiday just to cook for us, so we were grateful.

Amazing nice staff, and location. Perfect for nice walks and short trips in Tuscany!

Due to cold winter period the room was a bit cold.

Very relaxed and welcoming. Excellent location. Comfortable beds and loads of hot water in good shower. The restaurant was very good and excellent wine list. Very reasonably priced. The pool is ideal - even in the rain.

Nothing but it would have been nice if the sauna was working.

What a location, in the middle of a vineyard in the Tuscan Hills - lovely small property with great pool facilities. The buildings are converted farm building so you should expect the rustic experience.

Quiet, clean, great wine

Wonderful and delicious breakfast with fresh tomatoes, basil leaves, watermelon, pear from their garden, homemade bread, their own olive oil. We bought their Chianti and olive oil, they are very good. Fabrizio and Frederica are both very kind, friendly and helpful.

all is good, but maybe if there's a softer pillow, the night will be even better :D

It was my probably 4-5th stay here, and I’m always longing to come back! It’s the essence of Tuscany. Food is amazing! Pool is beautiful! Staff is kind and helpful.

This room had no AC but this is the room I usually stay in, so I loved it anyways!

I love this place, it was not my first stay here! Outside in the green peaks of Firenze, but absolutely agroturismo! For the first night we got the apartment Dante which is beautiful, spacious and with an AC. Also, they have invented into a great pool! Dinners are A-ma-zing, must try at all cost! Nice staff, too.

I could only book two different apartments for the two nights, so I had to downgrade for the second night, and change rooms. Also, home made olive oil became extremely expensive recently.
