How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCharming place in a relatively remote area with a bit bumpy road. Overall - very cozy and charming villa with lots of local decorative details. We had 3 bedroom apartment with a huge, lovely terrace with grill, table and additional sitting place. The apartment was really big. Even had a wood pizza oven (we did not try it, but it was just one of the local things nice to see), as well as iron stove heated with wood. The hosts were super helpful - helping find the place, orienting ourselves and suggesting how to get to places of interest near by. The pool was great - kids loved it. With lots of sun beds around the pool and a near by garden if you prefer more shade and quiet. The town near by is quiet local town, with little tourists. There's a nice local lunch kiosk that's brimming with locals at lunchtime - was a nice alternative/change to all the tourist focused restaurants. If you're looking for a place liked by locals - definitely try A Pancia Piena - Sieci at Piazza Aldo Moro, 9, 50065 Pontassieve
The view is not the best possible as villa is located on a hill side, not on the top. But that's just a minor detail.

Verified reviewQuiet and peaceful. The villas are in a picturesque setting but fairly close to the nearby town and railway making trips into Florence easy.
The track to the property was quite bumpy and not easy on the car but the road on the Villa estate was fine. You do need a car whilst staying there as the trek to town is too far on foot especially if you were carrying provisions.

Verified reviewBeautiful property surrounded by vineyards and rolling Tuscany hills. Our family of four (two teens, 16 and 19) felt very comfortable in a 3-bdrm apartment. We enjoyed the stunning pool, playing ping pong, and the proximity to delicious restaurants just an 8-10 min drive away. A rental car was a must to be able to go up and down the 2-mile trek up the hill to the property and into nearby Florence. We picked up groceries at a nearby supermarket and enjoyed wine, caprese with fresh bread, and fruit on our private terrace. We drove into Florence and parked in the Beccaria garage, which was not in the ZTL zone and worked well for us to walk to the sites of Florence. There were many nearby wineries, but all were booked and some closed on Mondays, the one day we had to do a winery visit. If you're wanting to make winery tastings/tours a part of your stay, I'd recommend booking ahead of time. The property hosts were very helpful in recommendations and responsive to messages, even before our stay. We would definitely stay here again!
Our apartment had three bedrooms, but you had to walk through the twin bedroom to get to the room with a full bed. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was inconvenient at times trying to give privacy to our 19yo daughter who was in the twin bedroom.

Verified reviewEverything was great!
The road may require a SUV type of car, but it's still totally worth it 👌

Verified reviewUnlike in the room description, there is no washing machine in the apartment. There is a rather expensive pay to use machine on the premise.

Verified reviewThe property grounds were well maintained. Even though it was a little chilly, the pool was always ready. The gardens were nicely maintained. The young lady showed us everything we needed upon arrival, and the apartment was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed walking along the vines, watching the deers.
The young family in the apartment above us was very loud, we could hear the child running around, screaming and moving the kitchen chairs around til about midnight.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay! Was so peaceful and beautiful… the pool is fantastic!! Everyone was very friendly. We went for a friends reunion and all had a wonderful time. Also very easy to get the train into Florence!
Beds were a little hard, but that’s a personal preference. Lots of people prefer a hard bed. So not a reason not to stay.

Verified reviewThe location! The nature around, the garden and the swimming pool.
If you don’t like humid air in the room - do not choose a room in the basement floor. An another opportunity for improvement would be a cleanness of the bathroom - you don’t expect a black mold at this prise level.

Verified reviewThe property is located within vineyards with a beautiful view. The apartments were comfortable and fit our needs. The facilities had ample parking space. This is definitely a country-house type of vibe, which is what we were looking for.
The only thing that we didn’t like was the mosquitos in the property, however, this is obviously outside of the hosts control but they provided plug ins to protect against the mosquitos. The beds were on the old side but normal compared to what we’ve seen in Europe and worked well for us.

Verified reviewVery nice hosts, they helped us to get back to railway station at Sieci. Its a vintage type of a building, cosy with rustic finish. If you are into old houses, this is very good. You need a car to get around. We did not have one, but walking downhill to Sieci station didn't feel tiring, even with three children. It was about 1.8 km walk. Area is beautiful. you can walk up through the vine yard, to the carpeted road from above the hill. (path exists, not shown in google maps) It has a nice view if town below if you walk further up.
Bathrooms are old looking, but ok, but water pressure was low.

Verified reviewWe loved our stay here. The views are fantastic and the pool area is lovely. It’s a 5 minute drive into Sieci where you can get a train very quickly into Florence. It’s a lovely relaxing place to be and we would definitely recommend. Giovanni was very helpful and welcoming.
Would have been good to have a kettle available
