Location, cleanliness, fair price

The location is very good

There was no air con in the downstairs room so it was absolutely boiling at night, whereas the upstairs bedroom was a lot more spacious, light and a more suitable temperature The window in the downstairs bedroom was floor level and above a smoking terrace so would stink the room out with smoke whenever opened One of the sheets I was given upon arrival was dirty

A cozy hostel with friendly staff and spacious, comfortable rooms. I stayed for one night and enjoyed it. Good location and price.

The only downside is that check-in is only possible until 6 PM, which can be inconvenient and requires careful planning.

The bed & room was pretty decent, seemed clean and looked recently renovated. The ac in the room was like a gift from God. The hostel was located in a very good location. Generally, I would recommend as the price is ok. Not much to provide, nothing special even for the cheap price.

The people working there were just ok, they didn't seem to want to help (asked for some info, they didn't manage to answer at my message in booking) and they lack at bandaid which I needed (i should be more careful and cary my owns). They are not obligated to have as a hostel of course, but it seems weird as they mainly function as a women-in-need shelter (you host women and children in need, how do you not have bandaids?). Hand soap was not provided (again, not obligated to have, but it was the first time for me that a hostel did not have hand soap at the bathroom).

Room and toilet look new and clean (10 out of 10). Bed is very comfortable and there’s no noise, I slept really well. AC works all the time and temperature is pleasant (~25C), yet it’s not blowing at anyone directly (it’s placed in the lobby). Stuff is friendly. Warm recomendations. 🤗 PS Check the livingroom/library, it’s so cute. 🧸🌸📚

I liked everything, so here I’ll post some usefull info: * There’s no wi-fi, use it while in restourants. * There’s no soap, bring your own. * You can get a towel (quite big) for deposit of 5€, that is returned upon the check-out. * You can borrow a hair-dryer (either for 10€ deposit or dry your hair in the livingroom next to their office). * There’s a curfew, return to the hotel at 23h latest, unless you are attending opera in the arena and in that case show the tickets and return within 30min after the opera has finished.

Its a great place to stay as a solo female traveller. The volunteers are lovely and very helpful. Dorms very clean, modern, and spacious, great bathroom. The location is easy walking to all the old city sites.

Outside temperatures were fairly intense and the air con preset at 25 for upper dorms was quite warm. A minor issue as it was crazy hot outside.

Protezione della Giovane exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredible, and extremely accommodating. I had booked to go to the Opera and they made sure to leave the door open for me when I returned, and checked that everyone who went was back safely. The room itself was immaculately clean, and extremely comfortable. Each person had a large locker to store their luggage in. This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I come back to Verona. Not to mention, all the staff were volunteers and the money you pay goes directly to supporting women and children in need. I cannot recommend staying here enough!! Great location

Disgusting behavior. I wrote them in advance that my bus is delayed. I booked a bus to get there 4:30 but unfortunately was delayed due to traffic. On booking com it said check in is until 6. it looked like I arrive by 6:30. there was more traffic and got there at 7:30 instead. I updated them continuously. Thankfully I didn’t read the reply from Alice who wrote me: Hi, we are sorry, but we can't do check-in now. We are waiting for you from 6:30 pm. You can cancel Great to read something like that when I updated them, I booked it in advance and need a place to sleep + it was not my fault the bus is delayed. And it wasn’t middle of the night Glad I didn’t see it until I checked in! They call themselves an organization to help women in need but would let someone who paid and updated them sleep on the street even though they’re there until 11pm?! Who would do that seriously! Wow great staff!

I liked that it was in a fabulous location, great price, and the rooms were way more spacious than expected. It was a large room with an upstairs loft; half the beds were on the first floor and the other 5 were on the upper floor and it seemed they had their own bathroom too. large lockers, bring a lock, make up your bed with the sheets they leave. No towels included

No kitchen, but there was a fridge in the room, and little cups and spoons for you to make your tea or coffee. The curfew doesn't let you explore night life but that's the trade for staying in the girls' hostel!

Lovely volunteer staff, great atmosphere, amazing location. Although the dormitory of 10 was full after I booked, there were only 3 of us. The building is right in the old town, charming and quiet. It felt very safe.

The bathroom has no window and although spotless, felt very uninviting and past its best.
