Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe hotel was near to the city center, but if you’re coming from the bus station without car, you have to be ready to walk through the car’s roads. A cat kept coming to our table and walking through the restaurant. Not acceptable!
The staff was very nice and helpful

FranceIt's a bit noisy : it's quite a big structure so obviously it can be noisy sometimes but nothing dramatic during out stay.
The hotel is well located : ten minutes walk from the center of Alberobello and free parking! The pool is nice, big enough and clean. The breakfast included is very copious, the staff is really nice and helpful.

Brilliantly located; a classic and comfortable proper hotel. The pool area is modern and clean and a good size. The bedrooms and hotel itself classic and exceptionally clean. The beds are comfortable too. Breakfast was simple but good - delicious cornetti and decent coffee. Lots of little thoughtful choices in a time where hotels are really cutting back on breakfasts. Free parking and ten minutes walk into the trulli village. Just across the road is the sort of bar that Italians take their morning coffee in which makes an excellent cappuccino for a locals price too. Staff were very welcoming and helpful at the hotel and do an excellent job. If you want to see the trulli houses without the influencers, take a lovely pre-breakfast walk.

While the room was outdated, it offered all essentials for a short stay. Breakfast was acceptable, and the location was excellent, right by the Trulli quarters.

BelgiumThey asked us if we wanted to stay on the first floor or on the groundfloor but did not specify that you could not access the swimming pool from your groundfloor room and that there was a hedge that stopped the view. Not a very big deal, but it was something I would have appreciated to know before choosing which room. Otherwise it was all fine.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the old town of Alberobello, just a walk away from the neighbourhoods of the town that are full of trulli. Staff was very friendly and helped us a lot when we lost a document, the swimming pool was great, and all by all we had a lovely stay.

BahrainThe window shutters didn't close properly, so you had bright sunlight early morning! The extra blanket in the cupboard was dusty !! We coughed when we got it out !! No English News channels on TV. No tea tray.
The location was convenient..10 minute walk to the Trulle town. Lots of restaurants and tourist shops. Free parking at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and lovely. The hotel restaurant has good food..limited.. but expensive, better eat in town. Basic continental breakfast..with cold boiled eggs. Lovely swimming pool and garden areas to sit in. Will stay in it again.

New ZealandThe double bed is actually just two singles joined together that slowly move apart and away from the wall so you loose your pillow. Very hard. No extra provisions like toilet rolls and a very average breakfast.
Nice older hotel with a kind of 70's vibe. Spacious rooms, easy on site parking, lovely clean pool, close to old town, restaurants etc (15mins walk) Original artwork and cool little museum in the Trulli part of the hotel. Easy to find. Our ground floor room had a nice view of an olive grove. The alfresco dining option was a bit pricey but very good.

CanadaWe selected this hotel for it's location and the pools - and those did not disappoint! It's within walking distance from numerous restaurants, shops, and the Trulli houses. The room was large and comfortable, although a bit dated. The breakfast had a very good selection, and there was lots of available free parking. Would definitely visit again!
