How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewbreakfast is extraordinary good, free parking in front of hotel is limited (but you can park across the street), garage parking is recommended (cost €10 per night) Walking distance to all restaurants!
Although doors to balcony close properly and have additional wooden sliding doors noise of passing cars can be heard quite well. Airconditioning works hardly adequate, limited cooling while noise is above average. Some cosy lights could do a lot for a nicer atmosphere in the room.

Nothing major: I’d make it clearer that the property has 5 parking spots outside that are free and available on first come first served basis, otherwise you pay 10€ at night for the basement garage or you go to public spots nearby. It’s a pity that the restaurant is closed.

Verified reviewWe stayed in that hotel for three nights because wanted to travel to Breuil-Cervinia, Aosta and some other places around. For that purpose the location of the hotel was perfect. If you need to go for a good restaurant or grocery store the best option is to walk to St. Vincent. It's a cute little town which we loved. Parking at the hotel is small if the hotel is full. However, there is a free public parking across the street. And by the way, if you see parking space with white lines in Italy it means it's free public parking. The hotel is close to the street but it's quite during the night. Rooms are clean and bed/pillows were comfy. We love the breakfast as well.
The small parking which wasn't a problem as I've mentioned because we always were able to find free parking across the street.

Was a bit old and dated. Poor bar/communal area. All facilities were closed. Just very sad.

When I booked the hotel I put 5 guest including breakfast and when I was checking out they charged me for an extra 1person breakfast which was 17€ and they charged the breakfast for 3year old kid who did not even eat anything.
Clarification Regarding Your Reservation Good morning, thank you for your review. We'd like to remind you that due to a synchronization issue on our end, the room you booked for four people had a maximum capacity of two. We promptly arranged to offer you two adjacent, connecting rooms free of charge, ensuring maximum comfort for your stay. We want to clarify that the reservation was for four people, not five, as our system would not have accepted a booking for more than the maximum capacity set for that specific room. We had sent you several communications about this, but you never mentioned a fifth person before check-in. Upon your arrival, our colleague clearly informed you that breakfast for the child would be considered an extra, specifying the cost of €15.00 per person, not €17.50. The difference you mentioned referred to the city tax. We want to emphasize that the decision to have the extra breakfast was yours; there was no imposition on our part. If your reservation was indeed set for five people, we kindly ask you to contact the channel through which you made the booking, as we received a reservation for four. Verified reviewWe stayed at the apartment which is located above the hotel (walking distance up the hill, but don't do it with luggage), we used our car and you get a passcode for the gate so it's very secure - 3 adults. amazing views, really beautiful apartment, brand new and super comfortable, well designed and airy. nice well kept grassy garden outside. very spacious, lots of storage space, very comfortable beds and fabulous luxurious shower with lots of features. Sparkling clean. loved everything and with we could have stayed longer. Staff were very nice and helpful with tips and anything we needed. Didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped
Doesn't have air condition. we had nice cool weather so it wasn't a problem at all and we enjoyed the open windows, but during a heat wave could be an issue. We had breakfast at the hotel itself but it wasn't amazing. the eggs tasted funny.
