How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewEverything. We liked it so much that we decided to stay 3 additional nights! And wanted to stay even longer. Confortable beds, well equipped kitchen, outside and inside swimming pools, sauna, table tennis outside and inside, big kids sandbox, kids play area outside and also inside, restaurant and bar. Gluten free pizzas! Very friendly staff. Location is perfect. Up the mountain, not in the busy touristic towns, but also close to reach them . Grocery store, some hiking areas, drinking water station nearby.

Verified reviewThe hotel has a lot of facilities like indoor pool, tennis courts and a restaurant. They also have apartment like rooms for booking and we stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment which was quite comfortable for 4 adults. Th staff were friendly and helped us with all our queries.
The property is a located on the hill above Gardasee. It’s a bit of an uphill to reach the hotel from the lake below. We found it a little far from the lake and the cities along the lake. Although we were provided a dishwashing liquid and some kitchen towels for the kitchen, It would’ve been nice if they had provided some essentials like handwash or soap for the guests. The most important thing about the hotel is that the heating is to be paid separately if you want it to be turned on. This is something they mention in the email but we somehow missed seeing this. The breakfast was 16euros per person, which was a little expensive.

The location of the hotel and the distance from the surrounding attractions are well described on the portal and on any type of search engine, Tremosine is sought after by those who do not want to experience the confusion of beautiful but very touristy neighboring towns but seek relaxation, nature and tranquility with the possibility of many outdoor sports. As for the suggestions regarding essential items for guests, it gives us the opportunity to reiterate that we provide the welcome cleaning kit for those who have booked only the apartment while those staying in the hotel room receive the entire courtesy set, replenished daily as needed. Also for those who book the apartment only, there are optional extra services available, included in the price of the hotel formula, which you can freely decide to add to your experience (e.g. buffet breakfast with show cooking or just bread and croissant service) or whether to save on what you are not interested in, in short we make sure that the customer can "build" their own holiday as they like. Verified reviewEverything was perfect, room was lovely, clean and cleaned regularly, comfy, amazing view. All staff were friendly and brilliant. We requested rooms close together, no problem. We left a personal item behind, no problem they have sent it to us. Amazing service. Both pools are fantastic. Food breakfast and dinner was excellent with lots of choice. All other facilities at the complex were superb. The place has a very relaxed feel, it's quiet and cooler in the evenings compared to be being down by Lake Garda, which was a relief. The area is beautiful you can walk off on the many trails by the property, along streams, dip in pools with waterfalls, hike up mountains. The natural environment is outstanding and thriving. Driving down to and exploring lake Garda itself was amazing. All in all a perfect holiday.

There was no hand soap or shampoo! We were really surprised. This is standard everywhere we go. The apartments so desperately need updating of furniture and bedding..the chairs make so much noise that the whole apartment vibrates and all the neighbors can hear. We heard loud noises from neighbors all around us all day and night. The chairs exasperated the noise.

Anyway we have to reply that unfortunately you did something wrong with your reservation: you have simply booked the residence formula with apartment rental and with this option soaps for body isnt' included, as you saw we give all the rest about apartment: a welkome kit with dishwashing liquid, sponge, floor cloth, garbage bag, kitchen cloth. Those who book hotel rooms or apartments in hotel formula are instead automatically given the personal hygiene kit, we are sorry that you did not see that it was all written on your booking (our now historic collaboration with Booking.com leads us to try to be as clear as possible). In any case we thank you that you gave us the possibility to specify it once again.

Verified reviewLocation is very nice and peaceful for a brake, you can go for a cycling and hiking around Tremosine natural park and exploring the beautiful nature. Children enjoy the garden playground and cute kids room. Breakfast is good and so many choices of food.
