Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandLocation - could not walk to the city, it is based in industrial part of the city. On the little beach there are a lot of people and spots are prebooked with umbrellas - none of those belong to the flats. There is a kitchen but no mugs, plates, no hangers for towels.
Great view from the terrace, very good contact and information

BrazilThe location is not ideal, but as I mentioned above it has its positive points. Some of the blinds didn't close very well, so it would be better if there were curtains. There were no toiletries, so I had to buy them at the market below the accommodation. I also missed wine glasses. There are plates, cutlery, glasses and pans. I also had to buy a sponge and dishwashing liquid. I had to use a face cloth as a dishcloth. In short, small details that would make the accommodation even better.
I always read the reviews before deciding which place to book and I understand all the comments, both positive and negative, and I will leave my review considering all the points mentioned. The first one is location: those who are expecting a tourist location will be disappointed, since it is an industrial area, but there are other positive points: a market below the accommodation, parking spaces always available and free, and very close to beaches and great restaurants. Ideal for those traveling by car. The apartment we stayed in is fantastic! Huge, with two air conditioning units, a beautiful balcony with a sea view, absolute silence. The best Wi-Fi I have ever seen. Pillow options available in the closet. There is also another balcony in the bathroom with a clothesline. Italian-style breakfast with several fruit options. The friendliness of Giuseppe and Maria completes the perfection of the stay.

GermanyThe stay has been good...In terms of location and facilities can be said to be acceptable. However the best of all has been the host Giuseppe, very kind and courteous from the beginning to the end, every day he made us a cappuccino accompanied with a smile, which makes you feel at home. Thank you very much once again for making our vacation very pleasant.

AustraliaWhere do Italians hang their bath towels?
The location was easy to get to by car. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but looks can be deceiving. I was greeted by the owner and host, the welcoming, friendly, informative and super helpful Giuseppe. I was informed about place to see, things to do and where to eat. My room looking out to Sicily was superb. It was relatively quiet, although my stay was on the weekend and the neighbouring supermarket was closed. I had to pay some road tolls. Giuseppe went out of his way to help and sort it out for me, unlike the postal officer, who simply told me to fill out a form I didn’t understand. I highly recommend this hotel. I would stay again. It’s a great location to explore nearby sites and places such as Scilla, Sicily, and the southern coast’s beautiful beaches. Go to Reggio centre and have the Amareggio flavoured ice cream at Cesare. Walk along the impressive boardwalk of Lungomare. Enjoy the bespeckled colours of the Mediterranean. If you like history, then the National Archaeological Museum is a must. Reggio is not as touristy as other more frequented Italian cities, therefore it’s safer from pick pockets, you don’t get hassled and the locals are friendly. It helps to know some basic Italian.

GermanyThe location. If you don’t have a car, I wouldn’t recommend even though the train station is at a 14 minute walk but if you are heading out at night, then it’s pretty much dreaded.

GermanyVery limited staff interaction. Check in was frustrating as there was no staff at reception and we waited for perhaps 40 minutes for a staff member to appear. We tried twice to call with no answer on the first call and an answering machine after the second call attempt. We expected better than this and this should not be so difficult
Huge room with a beautiful view. Located right next door to a small supermarket which was very convenient. Free parking right in front of the entrance.

Wonderful find. Small (8 room) hotel a few kms outside Reggio Calabrio. Our apartment was large with a big balcony overlooking the straights of Messina. Private beach at the end of the property with crystal clear sea and sun loungers /umbrellas. Breakfast is typical Italian with fantastic pastries and tiny cups of strong coffee. Special mention to the manager, Giuseppe. Nothing too much trouble, great help with travelling around, ferry to Sicily and things to do. Would recommend downloading WhatsApp and Vessel Finder apps

PolandUnfortunately, our stay was disappointing. We (2 friends) booked a Triple Room with Balcony with one single bed and one king bed because we specifically wanted to sleep separately. However, there was no option to select bed types in this room on the Booking.com listing — the layout was fixed in the offer, and the owner had not provided the usual choice of bed configuration that Booking.com allows for such rooms. We expected the room to match the description. Instead, we received a double room with a terrace and just one large bed with one sheet. There were no toiletries in the room — they were only provided the next day after we asked. We also received a second sheet the next day after requesting it and the staff offered to bring in an additional bed on the second day. The air conditioner had a strong musty, mold-like smell. The staff was polite and helpful on the second day (we got shower gels, a second sheet, and sightseeing recommendations), but that didn’t make up for the poor experience overall.
