Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was a little unprepossessing from the outside but internally it was very well appointed. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The restaurant served a very nice Chateaubriand steak with an excellent red wine. Breakfast was fresh and there was an excellent choice. Coffee was very good.

FranceBreakfast could be better. There is nothing to do in the area after, no bars, no shops, it is impossible to buy anything in the area, especially after 8PM. Some vending machines with snacks and drinks in the hotel could be helpful.
Apartments are very big (living room + bedroom+ kitchen) with huge terrace. Parking (on street) is in front of the hotel. Hotel is in a very calm neighbourhood.

FinlandThe room had quite a strong smell of tobacco. Some of the electric sockets were also a bit loose so it always took some time for us to set our chargers etc to start working.
Helpful and nice staff. The room was spacious and had some good comforts such as a big fridge, cutlery and a lot of closet space. We appreciated the blackout blinds on the window: they made it feel like it was still the night when we wanted to sleep a little longer in the morning.

United KingdomThis hotel is a little from the Centre - but near lots of other things for example FIAT, Torino FC and the Pala Alpitour Arena. It is next to a bus stop and tram but it takes about 30 minutes to the historic centre because of traffic.

UkrainePhotos do not correspond to reality. The rooms and furniture are old. It looks like it has been renovated for a long time. The hotel restaurant is not equipped with a ramp for lifting baby or wheelchairs. The breakfast has a small selection of food. The crib in the room was in a terrible state - the bottom was crushed and unsuitable for sleeping.
