We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomThere is no breakfast available on site, except a tart in a packet each and a coffee/machine to keep you going till you find something more substantial. We found a nice cafe, though more by luck than judgement as few places were open. Some information on where to try would be helpful.
Great location just inside the walls. We parked in the free car park just outside and it wasn't far to wheel our bags once the owner had told us that the residenza is just by the Roman gate. Owner was very friendly and likewise her friend who translated for her. She doesn't stay on site but is contactable. We were put in a suite, each part of it small but together affording plenty of space. We turned on the mood lighting which gave it a pleasant ambience. Bathroom was modern and well equipped and everything was very clean. The restaurant underneath was excellent so we felt very lucky to be staying on that spot. No noise from it or anywhere else so we had a great night's sleep.

Location excellent. Host friendly and helpful, aided by her daughter who spoke English. DIY Breakfast not that appealing but cafe nearby. Lovely view from the window and sound of church bells.

IrelandOur allocated room did not include the balcony/terrace promised for the room we booked, and the air-conditioning included on the facilities list had been turned off, despite the heat. The light inside the entrance to the room was not working. The bathroom towels were old and thin. The owner turned on the AC but only after an exchange of texts and when we finally said we would inform Booking.Com if the promised facilities were provided. The owner's response to the light not working was a Thumbs Up, which left us baffled. The room was not as promised, we had a disappointing experience, and would not stay again.
Location good for nearby free parking, Conad supermarket, and excellent cafe at Giuliano Pasticceria.
