The hotel Is in a state of disrepair..Everything except staff and cleanliness was awful.

Breakfast was less than basic, and that's being kind. There were 2 coffee machines one was not working at all, the other one was temperamental. The fruit juice machine was'nt working and had a big OUT OF ORDER notice slapped on the front of it which looked like it had been there for a while. The breakfast food was limited to a few pastries, some cereals from a dispenser and that was about it. The waiter was far from interested in catering for the guests but instead spent most of the time disappearing from the dining room altogether to pop outside for a ciggie!

Friendly helpful staff. The location was OK, good public transport links as there is a bus stop is approx. 100m up the street from the hotel. The bus route 135 takes you to the Rome Tiburtina train station without having to change. Taxi's are bit hit and miss. Our room was basic but clean, fresh linen on the bed, clean towels in the bathroom. It was very suitable for a one night stay. If Hotel Romulus intention was to design the hotel in a 'Shabby Chic' style, they certainly achieved it with an emphasis on the 'shabby' part. The exterior is tired, deteriorating and run down, the interior is in serious need of a make-over as again this is neglected and dilapidated, that said the welcome was warm and friendly. If you are looking for a place to stay for a single night or a few days that's relatively inexpensive, close to Rome with good transport links then this hotel fits the bill perfectly but don't raise your expectations too high.

It was very cold, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything everyone is doing (the people infront of use and next to us would make noise from 7am until 1am every day) And finally there’s one bus to get you away from the hotel, if for whatever reason the bus isn’t working that way you most likely won’t be able to leave, there’s no footpath to walk anywhere and taxis are very hard to get , Google will tell you, that there other buses but don’t be fooled there isn’t

we had 2 rooms - one had been refurbished although the style was very dated. The other hadn't - it would have been better to have given us 2 identical rooms so the contrast in quality wasn't noticed. Overall, the hotel felt as though it hadn't had any work done for at least +30 years. the hotel looked unused from the outside - not very welcoming the restaurant was a large, over-lit room - not very welcoming

Everything! It was very outdated and looked nothing like the photos on booking.com! Pulling in to the parking lot the vibes are off! When we got there he didn’t even know we had a reservation and then took our passports for the night! When we got to the elevator to get to our rooms it was so small only one person at a time with luggage could go up! Upon entrance to the room it was so dirty, the beds (minus the head board!) and bathroom had been cleaned but the walls we’re disgusting handprints and dirt everywhere the furniture was broken and the shower curtain was so disgustingly dirty you felt dirty after touching it! These photos were a scam we only stayed for 1 night not even 6 hours. The photos on the left are photos I took at my stay and the ones on the right is what we were promised.
