Staying at Hotel Rua Frati 48 in San Francesco was an incredible experience! I was in town for the Cosmoprof fair in Bologna, and choosing this hotel was the best decision. Just a 45-minute drive from the fair, it provided the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and luxury. The rooms are absolutely stunning—spacious, elegantly designed, and full of character. The dining experience was outstanding, with delicious food and impeccable service. But what truly made my stay special was the amazing staff—warm, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile.and they have a valet parking! After a busy day, returning to this hotel felt like coming home—serene, luxurious, and welcoming. If you’re visiting Modena or need a great place to stay for events in Bologna, I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely return!

Everything was great!
The staff at this hotel were wonderful. They helped us get our car parked, made lunch reservations and walked us part way to our dinner location. The apertivo and breakfast were also great. After staying in houses/apartments for most of our trip, we greatly appreciated the luxuries of a nice hotel - the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and a big shower!

I would prefer a shower in the bathroom. Gym, sauna area needs shower facilities.
Lovely, friendly and available staff, from front desk to restaurant and room staff. Quality room, bar and restaurant amenities. Great location. Super breakfast buffet and service.

Leaving and the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Lovely property - very comfortable, great style and sense of history, fabulous breakfast - one of the best we have had, and above all great staff, in particular Andre on the front desk who could not have been more professional, helpful, kind and generous - he made our stay extra special and is a real asset to the hotel. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer - very highly recommended! Moderna is a delightful city to visit and this is the place to stay - just a short walk to everything you might want to enjoy.

The hotel is in a great location at the south end of the city center. It is beautifully decorated and appointed. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Eager to help in any way. Our room was a very spacious and comfortable suite. Plenty of closet space.Bathroom was nice. We had a sitting room with a good desk. Nespresso machine was a very welcome amenity. We appreciated it. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Nothing you could want after that. We were there to go to Osteria Francescana. It is a block away from this hotel. But we enjoyed the market, the Palazzo Duvall, churches and Ferrari museum. We also ate at Francescetta. The best little burger and tortellini with Parmesan sauce anyone can have anywhere. Period. It’s a bit remote but would return to experience it again.

From the minute we walked in we were welcomed like family . I can’t say enough about Andrea - he was friendly , helpful went above and beyond . I travel extensively for work and have never had this level of welcoming at a hotel. Andrea helped with all tours , drivers and was always there to greet us with a smile .Room was big and comfortable . Breakfast was delicious with many options . The bar was perfect for appertivo and snacks . Modena was lovely and will definitely be back .

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The bathtub was missing some covers for the jacuzzi jets.
Amazing staff. Andrea was so helpful with everything! The provided toothbrush and toiletries was a nice touch. Also the pillow menu came with the most comfortable pillows ever

Only negative and maybe it's personal taste but for an old building it had very little charm - modern decor, very bland, felt like a corporate hotel yet could be so much more charming. It looks like it's been stripped off all the old characteristics and the current furnishings & decor are very out of place.
The location is great. Staff were very friendly and super helpful with bookings and directions. Room was very clean - nice bathroom.
