Very good location, super friendly and helpful staff

We are very unfortunate to report some major issues. First of all, we arrived and both apartments were free. We wanted the one downstairs since it’s having a lovely terrace but were asked to stay upstairs, which was still fine with us. The next day friends of the owner moved into the apartment downstairs who brought more people on many evenings to the apartment and were pretty noisy. Secondly and most importantly, we had an issue with a loud rasseling noise of the toilet. We said we don’t need it fixed during our stay, since we didn’t mind it to much, BUT the owner wanted to get it fixed asap, so he first asked, when we will be there. He waited for us and didn’t got it fixed the first time (we already felt very persuaded by than), so he STALKED us until we left the apartment and then BROKE INTO the apartment to fix it with a plumber, even though we said we don’t feel comfortable not being there and having strangers into our vacation home. We said this overstepped our boundaries and didn’t got an apology at first. After a long discussion we got 50€ refund and a promise it won’t happen again…but we didn’t felt safe afterwards. Also, the towels smelled very weird and the apartment is smaller than on the pictures (which mostly shows the apartment downstairs) This was very unfortunate, because otherwise it would be a great spot!

The location was great, directly on the beach and only 15 minutes drive from Cefalu. Also, everything seemed very new and for Sicily standard very nice. It had AC. Also, the kitchen had no kitchen knife and wine bottle opener and the host managed to get them very quick by request.
