How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We were in Rome for professional reasons and needed accommodation very close to the Vatican, as our production site was just a few steps away. The B&B was conveniently located for this purpose. What truly stood out was the host, Simone – he was genuinely friendly, helpful, and always ready to find solutions whenever something didn’t go quite right. We’re very grateful for his support and openness

Rooms are on the lower ground floor Breakfast is way too basic, exclusively sweet and no fresh or better quality items - options only include sweetened yoghurt, honey, jam, nutella, bread, cake - the last two being ultra processed with extra long shelf life
Excellent location - 5 mins to San Pietro and a really good range of restaurants within 5 mins too Really responsive staff, creative and very proactive about any special needs and requests

Some fruit for breakfast would have been enjoyable. Bananas and seasonal fruit.
Simone, the host was very hospitable. Made sure we had everything we needed. Answered our texts immediately. This is our 2nd time here. The only place we would come back to when in Rome.

The kitchen was quite basic and a bit shabby. I am not a fan of basement accommodation. But we enjoyed our stay.
Simone is a friendly guy. The room was pretty much what we expected. The location was just great. Amazingly close to St Peter's Cathedral but also near some decent trattoria and a cheap cafe.

The chlorine smelled that cleaned the floor and baths i couldn't sleep from the smell all night i had opened the window ,There are other ways to clean and not to have that smell !!!

Beautiful old building but with a few stairs to manage to access B&B. Not ideal for lots of luggage or small children.
The B&B was in a great location to the Vatican city and shops and bars in the vicinity. Host was welcoming and helped us arrange taxis.

Room small for 4 people sharing.
Very convenient location, close to train station and touristic area with good restaurants near by. Good AC, access to basic kitchen for teas and coffees, self service breakfast area

Breakfast does not include a lot of variety, but that is understandable considering the price and the location.
Excellent location right next to the Vatican and close to several public transports. The host was extremelly friendly and tried to accommodate our request.

The heater did not work not so fast. But it's not that bad. 🙂
The location is super! Simone was nice and accommodating! He waited patiently until we reached the B&B. We stayed in a small room coz I booked a little late but we have no problem about it. We had good night!

Very polite and communicative host, always concerned about whether everything was okay, great location near the Vatican 4 minutes walk and if you Google chiesa vicina a me you will find several nearby churches just walk, each one more beautiful than the other, it is near by from a lot of historic and good places just walk very happy with the chosen location and service.

The Location is very close to the Metro and 7 mins walk going to St. Peter Basilica. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

The breakfast nearly ran out towards the end of our stay but we felt it rude to be contacting the host to be topping it up. Other than couldn't ask for more.
The place was perfect for where we wanted to be with ease for travelling around Rome. Food was great, accommodation was great and the host was particularly friendly and helpful.
