Close to the beach and a short walk to the centre. Very quiet grounds and big rooms. Room cleaned and towels refreshed daily. Friendly staff.

Quite dated rooms and facilities and formal. Private beach was just a section on a crowded beach and you had to pay to use the facilities. Toiletries were not refilled or near full so ran out early on.

Beautiful pool area. Helpful staff. Very clean. Tranquil and relaxed ambience. Very well kept especially the common areas. Good location, close to the sea, nearby restaurants and close to public transport, yet tranquil and pleasant. Helpful staff with nice attitude. Good breakfast with high standard service.

The only thing that needs to be updated (in my opinion) is the showerhead.

The service is outstanding. All of the staff are focused on the customers. The floors are shiny and clean. The breakfast fresh and plentiful and the rooms large and comfortable.

Sicily is Sicily so don’t expect a million phone ish charging ports.

Beautiful grounds and pool. Triple room was bright and large with much needed air-conditioning!

Food and drinks were paid for with a tab system which was paid on checkout. I'd much rather pay as you go.

Absolutely nothing. The entire place felt like a scam. They’ve created a nice-looking lobby just to trick people, but nothing else in the hotel matches that impression. The rooms were awful and completely inconsistent with the image they present online.

The hotel is located in the worst area – overcrowded, noisy, and rundown. The surroundings feel cheap and unsafe. Inside, it was just as bad: no basic amenities (not even conditioner), dirty bedsheets, a broken safe, and a strong chemical smell in the room. The beach was unusable due to the crowds and constant street vendors. Staff were unhelpful and couldn’t even provide a painkiller. To top it off, they charged €100 per night for an extra bed for my child. The car park didn’t have even light! Total rip-off.

    Property response:

GDear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your recent stay at the Sant Alphio Garden Hotel & Spa did not meet your expectations. Our goal is to offer all our guests a comfortable and pleasant experience, and it is disappointing to learn that we fell short in several areas during your visit. We have taken note of all your comments and are committed to discussing them with our team to make any necessary improvements. In our defense, we would like to point out that regarding the fragrance in the hallways and the cleaning products used, we use materials that comply with hotel industry standards, approved for use in the hospitality sector. Regarding the hotel's location, many guests appreciate our proximity to the sea and our quieter setting, away from the traffic and nightlife of tourist cities, ideal for relaxation. We understand that this may not be to everyone's taste, and we are sorry that it did not meet your needs. Nonetheless, all essential services, such as a supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, ATM, and a wide selection of beaches, are just a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Furthermore, we would like to kindly remind you that, according to Italian law, hotels and non-pharmaceutical businesses are not permitted to provide medications such as antibiotics or painkillers to guests. Such medications may only be dispensed by authorized pharmacies and, when requested, upon presentation of a valid prescription. This regulation is intended to ensure guest safety and adequate medical supervision. Although we were unable to provide the medications directly, our staff suggested calling a doctor for an appointment or booking a taxi to the nearest pharmacy. Regarding the additional surcharge, it is important to clarify that the original reservation and the amount paid were for two people, with no indication of whether additional guests were staying. The room was spacious, there were a lot of breakfast options and the pool area was nice. There is parking available.

The hotel is very expensive for what it is and the food in the hotel is extremely overpriced. The staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly. The rooms are quite dated. At breakfast the hotel staff are dressed in suits and bow ties which was bizarre because the hotel isn't that fancy.

Close to a nice beach; the dinner was really good; the staff was polite; the room was regularly cleaned.

Charging by the hotel owned umbrella and sunbeds at the beach. Wifi was not stable in the room.

Deep pool for hot days was great. I didn't use beach ones as an additional charge for some reason. Good breakfast, though powdered eggs for scrambled eggs. Room cleaned and tidied every day.

Pool bar that you could not drink at. We were told no drinks when in pool - yet the next day they served another party-Not impressed. Overall inconsistent and lacked warmth. Additional charges for car parking and for sunbeds at beach. Lots of staff but no guest interaction, meant a lot of our groups spend €€ was off-site. Resident bar closed whenever we came back from dinner.

This hotel massively exceeded my expectations- it’s walkable to beach and loads of restaurants. The staff are so friendly and deserve regular tips at the bar. I saw the reviews about the rooms and breakfast - completely disagree with anything negative! The room was amazing and breakfast was so so good. I am gluten free and they gave me GF croissants, muffins, bread, muesli - the best ever! The pool is lovely and no stress of people putting towels down.

No negative comments at all! My only problem is that I didn’t stay longer

Good check in. Down stairs in reception is lovely

Rest of the hotel is dated and in serious need of refurbishment. A walk to the beach were sunbeds are squashed in and you have to pay for them.

very good location and the staff were extremely nice and helpful

Both the air conditioning and the fridge stopped working a few times. We asked maintenance to check them out and they immediately tried to sort out the issue but unfortunately it kept on happening. And the same thing happened in another family member's room as well. Travelling with a young child, it was a bit of an inconvenience as we needed the fridge in order to keep his milk.
